Dalton hears his front door open and close lightly as he stands in the kitchen cooking chicken feta.
He knows who exactly it is but he gives them time to approach him. When he hears the foot steps lightly start moving up the steps he takes a shot.
"Sky," says Dalton softly as he cuts up strips of chicken.
"Yeah, dad." Skylar, Dalton and Cole's son replies meekly trying to escape this confrontation.
"Come on in and grab a snack. We can chat while we wait for Papa and Vera to come back from ballet." Dalton exclaims with a smirk on his face.
Skylar was hiding something, why would he be sneaking up the stairs. he usually talks with his dads and plays with his sister till diner or goes to play his drums then does homework. What could he be trying to hide?
"Okay, dad. I just have to go to the bathroom." Skylar exhaled, dropping his bag pack and rushing to the bathroom.
He trudge to the bathroom like any teenage boy would, slowly, slugging his feet.
Skylar got into the bathroom and splash his face with water. Today was probably the best or worst day of his entire life.
"Sky?" Dalton asked in a concerning tone. Sky hadn't recognized that he had been in the bathroom that long.
He left the bathroom and went I I to the kitchen.
"So, how was school? Did anything interesting? Gimme the Dets!" Dalton said trying to get Skylar to spill his little secret.
"Well, we had a math test, we got a new student and composed music in music class. That was about it though... oh wait we also got a new history teacher!" Sky said lowering his voice when he said new student.
"I'm a princess!" yelled a very familiar voice, Vera. "Right, Papa?" she said looking up at Cole while holding his hand as they walked through the front door.
"Hey, baby sis, how was ballet?" Sky asked trying his hardest to overt the pervious conversation to his little sister.
"Good, Sky!" Vera said running over to him. "Look what I can do!" she spun around in her little pink tutu. Vera was only six.
"That's great Ver!" Dalton said lifting his Dalton up and kissing her on the cheek.
"And how was your day, baby?" He said walking over to Cole, placing Vera on the couch and grabbing Cole's waist.
"Good, what about yours?" Cole asked with smirk growing on his face.
"I missed you." Dalton replied his voice getting more husky.
Dalton put his hand over Vera eyes and kissed Cole's lips softly, holding his waist with his other arm.
Skylar, like most 13 years old had to look away. His parents were making out, talk about ewww.
Sky was a bit intrigued though at first. About how they kissed, like how did it feel? he quickly shook his thought off.
"Ugh, Dad! Papa!" Sky groaned as put his hand over his face, looking away from his parents.
Dalton and Cole both chuckled out of their kiss and looked at their shamed/embarrassed son.
"So, how was your day?" Cole asked patting his son's shoulder. Sky came out of his little turtle state to look at his father.
"Well, we got a new student, new history teacher and we composed music." Sky explained trying to keep everything general.
"Oh, that's cool. Who was the new student? Were thy nice?" Cole asked intrigued by how Skylar acted when he mention a new student.
