With those words the group sprang into action. The two sides ran towards one another, each member eyeing up their counterpart. Wanda and Maddie flung themselves into the air to take out the flyers on the opposite sides. Everyone else was locked into battle and Wanda pitched in where she could, pushing Nat's leg away from Clint's face in a glow of red. Clint launched a volley of arrows, one of which had Scott attached to the end. He managed to wiggle inside Tony's suit, pulling out wires and rilling up panelling, just generally causing a mess. While Tony was preoccupied with that, the rest kept fighting.

"we gotta go" Bucky said, taking cover across from Steve and Maddie.

"we can't let them take him in" Maddie agreed, looking towards Steve, "you know what they'll do to him"

Steve nodded, "we have to draw out the flyers. I'll take Vision, you get to the jet."

"No," Sam called, "You get to the jet, all three of you. The rest of us aren't getting out of here."

"as much as I hate to admit it, if we're gonna win this one, some of us might have to lose it" Clint chimed in.

Maddie's chest tightened. She knew they had a point but the idea of leaving people behind didn't sit right with her.

"they're right, you guys go" Wanda said as if she was reading her mind. Maddie reminded herself that she probably was.

Their minds made up, Steve, Bucky and Maddie raced towards the jet as Scott prepared his diversion. They had no idea what he was going to do but he promised something big. Maddie stopped running as Scott grew  giant.

"okay, tiny dude is big now, he's big bow" Rhodey said shocked as Scott closed his giant fist around the War Machine suit.

Maddie started running again, aware that they had to go. With a little help from the serum and her abilities allowing her to float, she caught up with Steve and Bucky easily and they all ran together.

Rhodey launched a series of missiles that exploded round Scott's head and the spider kid wrapped his webs around Scott's legs causing him to stumble slightly. Vision knocked into him, pushing him backwards and Scott fell. Vision took this opportunity to phase through Scott's body, passing through him leaving a clear line of site to where Steve, Bucky and Maddie were seconds away from reaching the hangar. He used another laser beam to topple the tower, aiming to cut off their exit but Wanda held it up with her powers, Steve slowed slightly to turn and thank her and Maddie added her energy to Wanda's, feeling how heavy the building was as she kept running forwards.

"I got this Mads" Wanda grunted as she adjusted her position slightly preparing to take the full force if the tower as Maddie headed inside the hangar.

However, Rhodey launched some sonic wave that disrupted Wanda's concentration and she dropped her hands, covering her ears as she cried out in pain. The tower dropped too, no one holding it up any more and the three of them sprinted the last few feet, just making it to the hangar before the rubble crashed down, cutting them off from behind. Nat stood in front of them and the group came to a stop, unsure of how to proceed. Maddie didn't want to fight Nat, she wasn't completely convinced it was a fight she could win, even with powers, but if it came down to it, to protect Bucky she would.

"you're not gonna stop" Nat said

"you know I can't" Steve almost apologised.

"I'm gonna regret this" Nat sighed as she raised her wrist.

Steve steeled himself for the blast and Maddie raised her hands slightly, ready to deflect the shock of electricity that was coming but Bat aimed just behind Steve, hitting T'Challa who had come up behind them rather than Steve.
