The time had come to put their plan in action and Maddie finished packing all her gear away and tidying up the house while Steve went over the plan one more time. Bucky listened, not really needing the reminder but knowing Steve needed to keep his mind occupied. Maddie closed the doors upstairs and appeared in the living room behind the two boys, lightly dropping her bag on the ground.

"ready?" she asked.

"let's go save our friends" Steve replied.

It had been a while since they had suited up. Since that first night where Bucky had ripped her suit off, Maddie had left it tucked at the back of her wardrobe but now they were ready to fight again so she once again zipped it up and strapped her weapons in. Steve wore his Captain America suit with a few modifications, including the fact the Avengers A had been ripped off. It pained Maddie to think that the Avengers were over but she knew Steve needed that closure. Bucky wore the same tactical gear he had fought in at the airport but carried a few more weapons this time, taken from the stash Maddie had hidden round the safehouse.

The trio entered their stolen quinjet, Steve input the coordinates from Tony and then they were off. The air was thick with anticipation and Maddie noticed Bucky's leg shaking. Placing a gentle hand on his knee Maddie smiled at him and Bucky returned it somewhat sadly.

"what are you thinking?" she asked

"well it's my fault they're all locked up, I can't imagine I'm the person they want to see at the moment"

Maddie and Steve sighed, both starting to speak at the same time.

"Buck, they all made their choice to fight for you, they knew what they were getting into"
"come on, don't be so hard on yourself metal man"

Bucky smiled at his nickname and Maddie felt him relax a little.

"We need to focus on getting them out. I'm sure they won't care who's rescuing them as long as they get rescued." Steve added.

"let's hope you two are right" Bucky muttered.

The quinjet landed on The Raft cloaked and Maddie used her abilities to force the guards on the top deck into a deep sleep. Bucky and Steve watched in awe as they dropped, turning to look at Maddie with shocked expressions.

"I'm really glad that worked" she said.

Bucky and Steve exchanged a glance as they exited the jet, silently agreeing with each other.

"you know you're missions" Steve said before racing off.

Maddie and Bucky ran in the opposite direction to Steve, heading towards the control room to cut the feed to the camera's on his route. Bucky took out a handful of guards, Maddie slipped through and into the room and started shutting things down while grunts and punches from outside let her know Bucky was still there. While they were doing that, Steve entered the room the remaining Avengers were being held in. Maddie rerouted the footage so she could keep an eye on Steve without anyone else seeing what was on her screen and Bucky joined her.

"cameras are down, we'll keep them busy" she spoke into her earpiece.

Bucky took his position by the door, ready to defend their position if needs be while Maddie still stared at the screen. She was frozen in shock as she saw what they had done to Wanda. The young girl was chained to the wall by her feet, a straightjacket holding her still and what looked like a shock collar attached to her neck.

"Steve get Wanda out of that" Maddie demanded, voice shaky.

Bucky noted the change in tone and quickly looked over her to see what had caused it.
