Saturday morning. Usually a morning of work, whether it be for a sport, a charity, school or around the house. Saturday is not normally a day Juliana is laying across a bed, tangled in her boyfriend's arms until the afternoon. They were both awake, but wouldn't let the other know. Each having equally important things on their minds. Both not wanting to tell the other, not wanting to burden them by worrying them more.
Yes, last night they talked, but not about anything important. They started with homework, as obviously they were doing it together, and had a little mini debate about a math problem, then they watched friends, duh, prompting a whole friends conversation.
But the whole night as they talked, neither cleared their minds. Yes, they know, it's not healthy, but they don't want to worry their other half.
But on top of it being the weekend, it's also almost Juliana and Tristin's one year, in a way.
They're celebrating their anniversary as if the whole 'situation' of last year didn't happen. They both agreed to just forget about it all and just be happy with each other.
Tristin booked reservations for their favorite restaurant in Hartford, a small authentic Japanese and sushi place. Which Juliana is usually gushing about for the days leading up.
But today was different, it's almost like she forgot.
"Babe," Tristin whispered, placing his hand more comfortably around her lower back, sitting on the side of her waist, and his other he moved under his head, allowing him to not have to rest it straight onto the hard surface of his back bed board.
"Hmm," she mumbled softly, adjusting her head on his chest more comfortably, but not moving her bent leg off of his lower body or her left arm from his chest.
"We should get up and do things," Tristin whispered also sounding like he's trying to convince himself.
She moved her head so her chin laid on his chest and her eyes were looking into his. Looking at him for the first time properly in a while, both always rushing along with life and not taking a second to pause.
"It's technically our one year, if that gives us any motivation," he whispered not unlocking their eyes from each other.
"Not really though," she whispered, tempted to break it, not wanting him to do what he does well and read her every thought, as she was attempting to do to him, "Technically if that thing didn't happen we would still have a week and a half."
"I know but I want to do something with you," he continued with his soft voice, which almost helped wipe Juliana's mind, but it couldn't.
"You shouldn't need an excuse to do something with me," she answered truthfully breaking their eyes from each other.
"I know," he smiled to her with a devilish look, "But this way," he flipped them over so he was hovering on top of her, "Everyone else also has to celebrate us."
He kissed her lips not too gently, making her giggle as he did, and he slowly rested his body more on her, so he was feeling her on him.
She placed her arms around her neck as she kissed back, deepening it more, and pulling him closer, slowly moving her hands to run through his hair.
She felt the butterflies in her stomach as if it were the first time they've ever kissed. She felt her face go red and her mood just lift.
"Tristin," echoed into the room as the door pushed open followed by a pair of footsteps and a gasp.
Tristin practically jumped off the girl and she buried herself including her face into Tristin's side not being able to see the reaction of the woman in front of her.
