After about a day or so, you were expected on a day shift again. You sighed as you stood in front of the mirror. Part of you didn't want to go back, especially after the other day. But you pressed onward as you continued getting ready for the day ahead.
You headed out, and hoped this day would be better.

You arrived at the building, standing outside your car as you readied yourself. You weren't going to be alone today, and you probably wouldn't be able to mention or convince anyone of what happened the other day. You sighed before approaching and entering.
As you headed into the main room, you were bombarded by Samantha and Ethan.
"Look, Sam, I don't think-" Ethan was trying to say. She interrupted. "What happened last night?" She asked, holding a hand up behind her to silence Ethan.
"What do you mean?" You asked, only able to remember what happened to Freddy. She looked you dead in the eyes. "Why is Foxy all beat-up?" She asked sternly.
Just then something clicked. You never thought about the fact that Foxy was probably hurt as well, just that he'd attacked Freddy. Which meant that Freddy fought back. Ater all, when he pushed you out to go to the breaker room...the sounds you heard couldn't have just been Freddy getting hurt.
"Sam, it doesn't seem like something they could've possibly done. The damage to him was way too much for a person to do." Ethan said, breaking your train of thought. At least you weren't that much of suspect.
"Well, she could've used something to do that." Samantha said. "There's easy access to crowbars in this place." She added. Ethan seemed to be pondering, deciding if that was what actually happened.
You didn't say anything, you didn't think you could possibly convince them that Foxy attacked you, even then, that'd probably make you more of a suspect. Maybe even be seen as a cover up. You were growing uncomfortable in this situation as they talked about how it could've happened.
Suddenly, something hit the side of your foot. You looked down, Ethan as well when he noticed your reaction. You recognized Freddy's magenta tinted microphone. 'Huh?' You though. You reached down and grabbed it, then looking up. Freddy was positioned on his stage, not performing yet of course. His fingers on his hand were uncurled a bit, as if he purposefully let it drop.
Ethan let out a little, 'Hm.' As if he wondered a little as well. Not enough to really care though. You walked over to the stage he was stationed on. You gently put one hand under his, holding it up, as you placed his microphone into his palm. His fingers curled around it in reaction. He looked at you, without moving his head. His eyes directly on you. You could feel the message he was trying to send. He was watching over you, he was trying to protect you.
You stepped back from his stage. Ethan had left the room to go and do whatever he could find. Samantha still seemed to be thinking before leaving towards her office.
You looked back at Freddy for a second, he was back at his neutral position. His presence was strangely comforting. Maybe after the whole debacle the other night brought the two of you closer together. You got a bit closer to the stage he was on, more in the presence of him. He was no longer some crazed monster to you anymore. He was someone who just needed a bit of attention, good attention. Instead of the negative reputation he got around the pizzeria.
You noticed his eyes were on you again. He was observing your moves and actions. His stare was no longer unsettling and soul boring. Now it was a stare of surveillance.
Soon enough, you got up and went off to see what you had to do for the day. You headed into a party room that wasn't being used and started to clean up in there.
You re-set the table cloths, straightening everything. You liked when everything looked nice, no matter how soon it might be for it to be back to a state of disarray.
You heard noises from out of the door behind you. You turned around and your heart dropped.
Ethan had Foxy with him, rolling him along. Foxy was beaten up. You avoided eye contact, trying to make it seem like you were still cleaning.
The image was still in your mind, it was obvious that something with the weight, force, and strenght of Freddy's size was exactly what got him.
Later on, you finished up and left the room, only to be approached again. It was Ethan. "I'm gonna need your help in the testing area." He said.
The testing area was connected to the parts and service, a room where there was a fake stage and everything to test the animatronics if they had gone through an overhaul. Or were as badly beaten as Foxy ended up.
You sighed and nodded as you started following him. Ethan took you through the the parts and service to the testing area.
-----------------------------------------------------
Things went pretty regularly. Eventually, Ethan took him out and to one of the main party rooms. It was much later in the day, so it wasn't in use, and people were steadily filing out for the day. You helped Ethan with running a few more tests.
"I'm gonna go grab something, would you wait up for me?" He said, not waiting for you to respond and heading off. You felt suddenly uncomfortable in there alone with Foxy.
You stepped backwards toward the drooframe behind you. That room was where Freddy was stationed. You took in a breath as you discreetly grabbed a paper cup from the table. You tossed it at Freddy's feet, making a tap against the floor before eventually rolling off the stage. You heard mechanical clicks, blue eyes eventually turning towards your direction.
You looked to meet his eyes, a strangely relieving stare pointed at you. You softly smiled to yourself, you turned back knowing that, if anything happened someone was there for you.
Soon enough, Ethan came back. Freddy went back to his neutral position, facing foreward.
Ethan came back with a clipboard, he was doing a status check on the test results from earlier. He was softly muttering things to himself as he did. Soon he spoke up. "Oh yeah, (Y/N)." He started. "Some kid must've dropped a cup near Freddy, could you go pick that up?" He said, less of a question and more of a request.
You nodded before going into the room that was directly behind you and grabbed the cup. You looked up, noticing Freddy's eyes were following you. You could tell his guard was up for you. You threw the cup away, then grabbed a new one from the packaging and put it in the spot.
Ethan left with the clipboard. You turned around back into Freddy's room. You looked up at him. You mouthed a 'Thank you,' before heading off to go and end your shift. It was getting pretty late after all.
You were about to head out of the door, you glanced back at Freddy's room. You sighed as you turned back to the door and headed out. You'd be back tomorrow night, and you'd give him a good thank you once you did.
