Chapter Nine

SAKURA

"Man, it's getting boring without teme here!" Naruto complained as he, Sakura, Hinata and Ino were hanging out at Ino's and Sakura's house.

"What's his mission again?" Ino queried and took a sip of her coffee.

"Don't know. Kakashi-sensei said it was confidential and we don't know when he'll be back." He answered, his tone showing disappointment. Sakura could see the bond Sasuke and Naruto shared and seeing him like this proved it again.

Hinata seemed like she remembered something and said. "Wasn't Temari coming today?"

"Oh, yeah!" Naruto agreed. "Is she here, yet?"

"If she is, then she's either reporting to Lord Third or spending time with Shikamaru." Ino told them and they chuckled at the last part.

"Let's go out and see 'em! I'm really bored." Naruto whined and the girls sighed.

"Okay, let's go." Sakura said and they all got up.

They walked towards Shikamaru's and Choji's house. Naruto knocked way to energetically on the door.

"What is it?" Shikamaru asked lazily when he opened the door.

"Hi, Shikamaru! Is Temari with you?" Ino asked cheerfully.

Black haired Nara shook his head. "She left fifteen minutes ago to see Lord Third. Why are you asking?"

"Oh, we just wanted to see her." Ino answered. "We'll go now but you and Temari should come at mine and Sakura's place to do a little get together."

"Sure." Shikamaru replied and then bid them good-bye.

"Was Temari on a mission?" Sakura asked others when they left Shikamaru's house.

Ino shook her head. "No." She leaned closer to whisper. "Temari and her brothers are spies at Danzo's and they often come to report. They're supernaturals like us but have good cover since Gaara's kazekage and Danzo can't just attacks their village."

Sakura nodded, she hoped after meeting Temari, she wouldn't blow her cover.

The evening came faster then Sakura wanted. She looked in the mirror and took a look at the dress that Ino gifted her with.

It was beautiful, short, caramel colored dress that Ino said was made for her as she looked stunning in it.

"Sakura, the guests are here!" Ino called from downstairs but Sakura could hear it even if she whispered because of her super hearing. "Coming!" Sakura yelled back and grabbed her phone.

"Hi, guys!" Sakura greeted all of her friends and they greeted back. She caught Temari's gaze on her but shrugged it off to calm down.

"Tem, this is Sakura and Sakura this is Temari." Ino introduced them to each other. The pinkette smiles nervously but to her luck, no one seemed to notice that.

Sandy blonde haired girl smiled and shook Sakura's hand. "We already now each other." She said and everyone except Shikamaru looked at her with surprised face.

"Huh? How?" Naruto asked.

Please don't say it! Please don't say it! Sakura pleaded in her mind and bit her lip nervously.

"I met her in Konoha. She was a nurse there and helped me with my headaches." Temari answered and Sakura sighed quietly. What she said was partly true but mostly a lie.

"Ahh, Sakura's very skilled medic. She saved me and Sasuke from deadly poison." Ino said, her tone showing that she was proud of her friend.

Temari nodded with a smile. "So I've heard."
