Chapter Seven

SAKURA

It's been two weeks since Sakura decided to stay and she fell in love with this camp.

She was on one short mission with Ino to bring supernatural in the camp which Inoichi Yamanaka sent.

On the way, she took the necessary stuff from her cottage and fully organised her and Ino's house as both of them wanted.

Now, she was making ramen for blonde Uzumaki who barged on their door in the morning.

Naruto kept blabbering how Sasuke annoyed him and burnt his toast while he made tomato toast for his self and left Naruto hungry.

"Here, ramen's ready." Sakura gave him the bowl.

Naruto's face lit up at the sight of his favourite food. "Thanks, Sakura-chan! You're the best!"

Sakura chuckled and gave him the glass of water as well. "You're welcome."

"Where's Ino?" He asked when he finished eating.

"Sleeping. She came back late from the mission last night." Pinkette answered.

"The mission, I almost forgot!" Naruto exclaimed and his face widened in realisation.

Sakura looked at him with puzzled look. "What about the mission?"

"Old man gave us a mission, we have to go in Kumogakure to deliver a special scroll that contains very strong spell." He explained.

"Oh, when are we leaving?"

"In an hour." Naruto said nonchalantly.

"Seriously?! You could have told me earlier!" Sakura was irritated.

Naruto smiled sheepishly. "Sorry, Sakura-chan."

The pinkette sighed. "I'll got get ready."

Naruto nodded and took another bowl of ramen whilst Sakura went upstairs to change and pack her stuff.

After an hour they went on their mission.

SASUKE

Early in the morning Sasuke jumped out of bed and went to train. He tried to keep his thoughts in line and work out calmly but it didn't last as silver-haired vampire approached him.

"Don't you think it's a little early for this?" He might have asked this but he was going to do the same as well.

Sasuke simply 'Hn'ed him and continued to train. Kakashi joined him as well.

Few hours passed by and Sasuke successfully burned Naruto's toast and also managed to make excellent tomato toast.

"You're a toast burner!" Naruto pointed at him angrily and left somewhere.

Another hour passed and Naruto informed him that he and Sakura were leaving for a mission.

He wanted to go on missions too but like Kakashi told him, he's supposed to play dead.

Sasuke left to train again. He was bored and only thing that he could do right now was to train.

He trained with Jugo and later Suigetsu dragged him to play video games. Sasuke felt his boredom disappear until Karin showed up and started annoying him. Thankfully, Kakashi came and informed her that she had a mission.

Sasuke decided to go home and eat but before he could start eating Suigetsu and Jugo barged in.

''Sasuke, let's go, Inoichi Yamanaka came and brought another supernatural.'' Suigetsu said.

''Why do I have to come?!'' He asked, already irritated.

''Because, he and the council want to talk to you.'' Jugo answered this time.

Damn council. He thought and stood up. ''Do you know why they want to talk?'' Suigetsu only shrugged.

The council was a group of Konoha's most important people.

Hiruzen Sarutobi, Kakashi Hatake, Asuma Sarutobi, Inochi Yamanaka, Shikaku Nara, Choza Akimichi, Hiashi Hyuga, Might Gai, Kurenai Yuhi, Tsunade Senju and Jiraya. They are the ones that take care of all this supernaturals and also protect Konoha.

Jugo, Suigetsu and Sasuke approached the main building and went inside.

"We'll go take care of the newcomer. You go meet them. Inform us us if anything." Suigetsu told him and Sasuke nodded.

Sasuke walked up on the stairs and knocked on the door which led into the meeting room.

"Come in." A voice was heard from the other side of the door and Uchiha went inside.

"You wanted to see me?" Sasuke asked to the people in front of him. The council looked at Uchiha and stopped talking. All of them were there except Tsunade Senju, Shikaku Nara, Choza Akimichi and Jiraya.

"Yes, we have some things to discuss." Third Hokage said. "Take a seat." Sasuke nodded and did as he said.

"Sasuke, as you know, you have to lay low for a while." Kakashi started. Sasuke fought the urge to not roll his eyes. He already knew this, why were they repeating it again?

"However," He continued. "We have a mission for you."

A mission? Did he hear it right?

Kakashi, who noticed his confused expression, explained. "Danzo thinking you're dead gives us big advantage on this situation. You can spy on them without any interruptions and report to us without hunters after you."

Sasuke listened to Kakashi and then agreed. "How long should I remain that way?"

"Until he finds out the truth. You're very skilled vampire Sasuke, try and keep an act as long as you can." Kakashi answered.

"But you have to come and report occasionally. For the sake of not getting caught, you can use a hawk too." Inoichi Yamanaka added.

Sasuke nodded. "When should I leave?"

"Tomorrow." Hiashi Hyuga answered this time.

The council and Uchiha talked about details of the mission and then Sasuke left to get ready.

Even though this was going to be a hard mission, Sasuke was glad that he would get out of this camp.

He would finally get a step closer to his revenge.
