The Pelican swayed violently, plasma fire from the Covenant and rocket fire from the Flood rising up to try and blow it out of the sky!
Pilot: Noble, we can't stay here much longer! You need to find the commander!
Aris: Yeah! Yeah, I know! Open up the bay door, and then get the hell out of here!
Pilot: Aye, aye!
The hanger lowered, and Aris was treated with the sight of the snow filled landscape between him and the Library! Noble Six sprinted and leaped, sinking towards the ground with haste as the Pelican soared into the horizon!
Athena: Was jumping really the best course of action?!
Aris: Not like there was any other course!
Readying his Shotgun and Grenade Launcher, the Lieutenant Commander straightened his body and set himself right-side up!
Athena: Hey! I know snow will cushion the fall, BUT ITS STILL GOING TO HURT!
Aris: You have a better idea?!
Athena: Ugh! Activating Armor Lock!
The telltale sign of the ability's bright blue shine surrounded his armor right as he hit the ground. . . and sunk through it!
Aris: OH MY-
Athena: I HATE EVERYTHING!
The tunnel beneath the snow was endless, the Spartan sliding down it endlessly! The winding path was disorienting, the AI doing her best to map out the area as they fell, Aris trying his damn best to not vomit in his helmet!
Aris: Why-are-we-still-FALLING?!?!?!?!?!?
Athena: I have no idea.
Drawing a knife, Aris jammed it into the walls of the tunnel, the blade of the weapon shattering!
Aris: . . . *sighs*
A few moments later, the Spartan was ejected from the tunnel and thrown into a large chamber, crashing into a wall!
Aris: . . . Ow. Where. . . are we?
Athena: . . . Do you want me to be honest with you?
Aris: . . . We're in hell, aren't we?
Athena: That is certainly one way to describe it.
