It was easy to love Jay.

One of the first few moments where Jungwon had his life completely crumble was when he saw him there. Sixteen, wearing a black collared button up with white stripes, and jeans that hugged his legs. Jungwon was planning to pass by Jake's room to head to the kitchen one afternoon, and there he was, seated on Jake's chair, playing a guitar. He couldn't help but stop, and leaned across the wall so he could take a clearer look. Jake's door was opened.

"Play for us!!" Sunghoon excitedly exclaims, and so did Jake, the two of them just in front of Jay as they sat on the floor. And so Jay did. He plays for them, his hand strumming skillfully. Jungwon has no idea how to play a guitar, so he just listens and watches his hand movement carefully, looking at Jay in awe. The tune was unfamiliar to him, and when his eyes travel from the guitar to Jay's face, he feels himself tensed, and the swirling of his stomach doesn't waver. Jay pouts, like he usually does when he's focused. As he finally looks up from the instrument and locks eyes with Jungwon who embarrassingly couldn't move or run away, Jay gives him a smile. He gives him a gentle smile of acknowledgement, a smile so genuine.

He fixates his attention to his guitar once again, and licks his chapped lips, but when he looks up for the second time, Jungwon was nowhere to be seen.

"Yang Jungwon!!! Love of my life!! Future husband!" Jay exclaims, trying to get Jungwon's attention. And he successfully does, because the moment he yelled out his name all the way from the lawn, Jungwon looked at his window. The dimpled boy chuckles and shakes his head, putting the romance book he was reading aside. He's already nearing the end of the story. It has been three days since he slept over at Jay's house.

"What's up?" Jungwon smiles.

"Let's go to The Tree," his boyfriend grins.

"You know, I'm quite happy that we live very close by," the two were walking hand-in-hand to Deomi Park, as Jay continued to fanboy about his lover. Jungwon responds with a little how so? and Jay just chuckles, "it's easier that way. We can eat meals together if we'd like, and meet up whenever I miss your pretty face. And so I can hang out with Maeumi too, of course. Plus your room is really cozy."

Jungwon laughs, and smiles like an idiot. When they make their way to the secret place they've found comfort in for the past years, the two abruptly stop in the middle of their conversation and stiffen as they take a first look at The Tree, like a deer caught on headlines. Seated on their signature swings, two men were already talking and smiling like reminiscing from the past, and it isn't just any random couple. Jungwon blinks, "Appa... Dad?"

Namjoon and Seokjin turned their heads at the same time, and much like them, they also looked quite shocked. "Jungwon.. and Jay!"

"What brings you two here?" Seokjin tilts his head the very slightest, his tone filled with curiosity and confusion. If ever, Jungwon wants to ask them what they're doing in the only location only he and Jay knew, and how they found out about the place. The adults have stood up from their swings now, realizing that neither of the two had plans on muttering a word, since all four of them looked mutually baffled. Namjoon was the one who breaks off the silence,

"We've known this place since— I don't know— last year of highschool. Seokjin and I, we used to hang out a lot here. It's been a while since we've been here, too, and we're quite surprised to see you two casually walk in."

Jay looks at Jungwon with bewildered eyes, and he responds, "we.. didn't know anyone else aside from us knew this place."

Seokjin snorts, "well of course, silly. Who had set up the swings and made this place lovely? Magic?" He jokingly mutters.
