Perfect Timing

Chapter 6

Kathy's POV
I decided to change my outfit while I still have time. I am now wearing a white Mickey Mouse shirt, black jeans, and a low cut it galaxy printed vans. I put on light make up, braided my hair into a side and put everything I needed in my small black shoulder bag. I heard someone knock at the door. It must be Luke. I left a note on the fridge for Caleb incase he comes home before me. I opened the door and saw Luke standing there. We hopped on to his car then drove of. "Where are going exactly?" I asked. "An new amusement park" he said with a smile. "Do you mind if we stop by our flat for a minute" he added. "You mean you and Moms house." I said. "No. I mean and my friends house" he said. "You live with your friends??" I mean the heck shares his house with his friends. "We're band mates actually" he said. "You have a band???" I said surprisingly. "You really don't know me, do you?" He asked and I just shook my head no. "Well just to be clear. Mom lives with her friend because she says were to much for her to handle and we'll only stress her out. I live with my friends Calum, Michael, and Ashton. We're in a band called 5 seconds of summer which I thought the whole world new about." He cleared as I stood there in silence wondering why never knew about them. "We're here" he said then we went inside. It was dark and quiet. Luke turned on the lights since the switch was only besides the door. I was surprised to see two boys each holding a nerf gun pointing at us and a guy holding two cans of silly string. They were about to shot Luke until they saw me. "Who is she?!" Said the Asian looking guy holding a nerf gun. "Shut up Calum! She must be Kathy. You know the so called pretty girl Luke kept blabbering about." Said the one with colored hair who was holding the silly strings. "Would you two just shut up already" said Luke who grabbed my arm and led me to the living room. "Wait here. I'm jut gonna go change" he said and I nodded then he went upstairs. The three guys sat beside me looking at me then each other. "So....Is Kathy your real name or just a nickname?" Asked the colored hair one. "It's just a nickname. My real name is Katherine" I said then the colored hair one laughed maniacally then the Asian one gave him ten dollars. Finally Luke came back telling me that we should go. "Bye Luke! Bye Kathy!" Said Calum. "Bye guys!" Said Luke then we went off.
After 35 minutes we arrived at the amusement park then we bought tickets. When we entered, I immediately saw this big cute stuffed penguin and I wanted so badly. Apparently Luke saw how much I wanted it so we ended up playing the game. At first I thought it was easy because you only need to make the cans fall down. Luke and I got three balls each so I went first. I threw the ball but it missed. I threw the other one and it was close. I threw my last ball and it hit the can but it didn't fall down. Then it was Luke's turn. He threw his first ball but it missed. He threw his second ball then he did it! The cans fell down and he still has one more ball to go. He threw his last ball then it hit it again! I can't believe that he's really good at this. "Pick two prizes sir, anything you want" said the man in the game. Luke picked the penguin that I wanted and a cute stuffed monkey as well. "Here" he said giving me the penguin. "Thanks so much Luke!" I said then out of nowhere I just hugged him. I pulled away then I blushed. "What are going to name it? I'll name mine Kathy." He said then i laughed a little. "I think I'll name mine Luke" I said then smiled at him. We our toys at the baggage counter so we won't have to carry them every where. We almost rode every ride at the amusement park but then we got hungry. So we divided to eat at Nando's. while we're eating with our stuffed toys beside us when Luke said "So tell me about your family". I swallowed what I was eating first then I said " well my dad died when I was five and only comes home every Sunday because of work. I have an older brother named Caleb his a bit over protective of me and a little annoying sometimes but i love him very much" then I continued eating my food. "What about you?" I asked. "Well you can always Google my life" he said then we started laughing. After we ate, he took me home then we said goodbye. I opened the door revealing an angry Caleb waiting for me. "Oh Caleb" I said hugging him. "What?" He said in confusion. "I just had the greatest day ever" I said still hugging him. "Well I'm glad to hear that" he said then hugged me back. Yes! It worked! "I'm so tired. I'm going to bed now. Good night" I said pulling away from our sibling hug. "Good night little sis" he said then hugged me one last time. I went upstairs to my room, changed my clothes then went to with my stuffed penguin Luke and remembering everything that happened this day.
