Perfect Timing

Chapter 17

Kathy's POV
A few minutes after breakfast, Jenny went home with her car that Michael drove last night, Sammy went out with Ashton, now it's only me, Luke, Calum , and Michael. "I probably need to get going now, mom might freak out any minute" I said, and stood up from where me and Luke sat. "Sure, let me drive you home" I nodded to his request. It was only like a 15 minute drive since it's not that far.

"So I'll see you again on Saturday?" He asked. "Sure" I answered. I walked inside and saw that mom and Caleb were doing their usual routine on Sunday. Caleb watches tv for three hours while mom make my one week supply of yogurt. I walked behind Caleb quietly and went straight to the kitchen to see mom. "Hey mom" I said, as I walk in to hug her.

I walked in my room and saw a huge mess. I mean clothes on the floor ( but not so many), a few books as well, and my bed was a mess. I picked up all my clothes on the floor and put them in a hamper since their already dirty, and put all the books away. Funny that I didn't remember leaving it like this. Oh well. I was sweeping the floor when something shiny under the bed caught my attention. I picked it up, and it was the ring that I found the day I first saw Luke. I guess I forgot all about it. I put it under my pillow for the mean time.

School is now going pretty well and it was now my favorite weekday which is Friday, and I was no longer failing math thanks to Liz. I only have 3 more subjects to go and I was now having a regular lunch with Jenny and Sammy. Our eyes widened when we saw who sat at our table.

It was the slutty senior girl, I think her name is Monica, and her friend who I clearly don't know. She's like the girl that every guy would want to sleep with. She bullies some of the girls here at school, but luckily she didn't notice me so I was safe, until now I think.

"Your Katherine, am I right?" She said, in her acting all sweet and friendly voice. "Yeah, I guess" was all I said. I am trying my best not to stare at her, so I stared at my food. "So, I heard you're dating Luke now, is that true?" I was surprised with her question. "Who told you?" I asked. "I reliable source" was she said. Suddenly the bell rang meaning ouch was over. Yes! Saved by the school bell. Monica and her friend stood up and said "Ot was nice meeting you" then they left.

"Well that was weird" said Sammy. "Yeah it was" said Jenny. "See you guys after class" I said and we walked to our classes. Class went by fast, and it was already time to go home. Jenny dropped me off my place since her house was only a few blocks away from my house.

"Caleb! I'm home!" I yelled as I walked in. "Hey Kathy!" He yelled back. I walked in my room and it was total wreck again. "Caleb" I yelled from my room. "Yeah?" He yelled back. "Did you mess up my room or something?" I asked. "No, I was also in school remember?" He answered. I was too tired to clean up, so I just laid down on the bed to get some sleep.

I woke thinking of what I can do today since Liz won't be here. I was thinking of starting cleaning my room when my phone buzzed.

From Luke:
Good morning gorgeous xxx

To Luke:
Well good morning to you too xx

From Luke:
What are doing?

To Luke:
Cleaning my room, wanna join me?

From Luke:
I'm coming over, but I am not going to clean your room.

To Luke:
Fine. Just come here already.

From Luke:
Okay. Be there in 5. xxx

About 10 minutes later Luke was finally here. He pulled me into a kiss and I obviously kissed back. "What took you so long?" I said, pulling away. "I got pizza before I came here" he said. We sat on the couch and searching through channels trying to find something to watch.

"Hey Kathy, I'm going to my friends house and...." Said Caleb, but he pushed a moment when he saw Luke. "Hey Luke" he greeted him. "Hey" said Luke and smiled. "So, I'll be back by 6 o'clock pm. And do you know what with you know who" he said. "Yes Caleb, now get out before I die of embarrassment!" I said, and he left. A few minutes later the doorbell rang. And I couldn't believe who I saw. It was Monica.
