Perfect Timing

Chapter 13

Kathy's POV
There were four torches, each on every side of the big blanket with champagne and a basket in the middle. "Luke, did you do all this?" He just put his head down smiling, and pillows on the rock. He was still holding my hand and we sat on the blanket starring at the ocean with the moonlight reflecting on it. "Want champagne?" He asked, holding two champagne glasses. "Sure...I guess" I have admit I never drank champagne before. Sad, I know. I opened the basket and there were pizza a little bit bigger than your hand. It was so cute. I reclined on the pillows that were on the rock taking a sip of champagne. It taste good actually. I felt Luke sit down next to me. I put my head on his shoulder and we just sat there, with our hand intertwined, and starring at the ocean.
We ate the pizza until there was only one left. "First on to get it wins?" He nodded. "On three...1...2...." Before he could count to three I quickly grabbed the last pizza and ate it. "Thats not fair!" He said, like a five year old. "You better run now or else" he said, smirking. "Or else what?". "Or else I'll do this" then he started tickling me. "Stop it Luke!" I said laughing really hard. He stopped for a minute which was my opportunity to run, and I did. "I'm gonna catch you Kathy!" He yelled running after me. I run to the water, which only goes above my ankles. Luke finally caught me and threw me around. When he put me down, I was starring into his ocean blue eyes and he was starring in mine with his hands in my waist then he kissed me. I wrapped my arms around his neck and kissed him back. A wave hit us, which is why we pulled away and why we are soaking wet. We laughed at what happened as we went back to the rock. "We should go now" I suggested cause it was now like 10:00pm or something. He nodded as a response, we grabbed our shoes, and walked to the car with one of his arm around my shoulders and one holding his shoes, while my other arm was hugging his waist and one holding my shoes. "Wait! I forgot my bag at the big rock" I ran to it but my foot hit something really hard. I yelled in pain, then I saw Luke running up to me. "Kathy! What happened?". "My foot hit a rock or something, I don't actually know what I hit. But it did make me sprain my ankle" I said and laughed a little. "I'll go get your bag for you. Stay there" he instructed. "I don't think I can go anywhere" I said, and he smiled a little then left. "Hold these for me" he said, handing me his shoes, my shoes,and my bag. "Why?". "So I can do this" he picked me up bridal style while I was holding our things. We walked to the car and he sat me on the passengers seat and he walked around the car and sat on the drivers seat. I checked my phone and it was already 11:30. Caleb must be worried and asleep by now. "You should probably stay at our house tonight, since you sprained your ankle and soaking wet." He said. "Okay, let me text Caleb incase his still awake" I said and texted my brother.
After almost 30 minutes we arrived at their house. Luke helped me walk into the house and it was dark, all the lights were turned off but there was a little bit of light coming from the living room. My arm was on Luke's shoulder so he can help me walk there and we saw Michael, Ashton, and Calum with scared and freaked out faces, I'm guessing their watching a horror movie, and I was right. "Hey guys!" I shouted, they were surprised and Calum almost jumped off the sofa. Luke let go off me and I balanced my self by the wall so Luke could turn on the lights, finally. "Hey Kathy" said Ashton who was eating popcorn. "Don't mind what you saw there, we were just watching a stupid horror movie" said Calum, which made me laugh. "What happened to you?" Asked Michael. "I kinda accidentally sprained my ankle" I said. "Well we should probably let Kathy rest now" said Luke, while he wrapped his arm around my waist. Luke helped me walk to his room and sat me on the bed. "I think Sammy left some of her clothes the last time she slept here" he said, then he went to Ashton's room. It wasn't a surprise to hear Sammy leaving some of her clothes here. After all she's Ashton's girlfriend. Luke walked in holding a familiar white shirt, which is Sammy's favorite, and her pajama shorts. "I'll go out so you can change" said Luke. "Okay" I said, and he walked out. "I'm done" I said so Luke can know that he can come in already. "Are you okay now?" I nodded and sat in the middle of the bed. "I'll be sleeping in the guest room if you need me" he was about to close the but I stopped him by saying "Wait what?! No stay here with me". "Are you sure it's alright?" He said and I nodded. He took of his shirt and gosh his so hot. "Like what you see?" He said when he caught me starring at him. "Maybe" I said and laid down in bed. Luke laid down on the other side of the bed and now we were facing each other. "Goodnight Kathy" he said. "Goodnight Luke" I said, and kissed him quickly. This is the best date ever, even though I got sprained.
