Chapter 4 - The First Step
Xavier speed out of the portal and realized he was in an alleyway "this is gadex"
"Yeah, it's been a long time since I've been here"
Xavier looked around trying to see where that voice was "w-whos there"
"Right this is our first time really talking"
Xavier looked a few steps back seeing a dark floating purple figure-who are you"
"You may call me Darchi, I'm here to help you find someone to bring to gadex" Darchi looked around "Xavier they can't see me"
"Okay, but how will I know"
"Just pick whatever you want, just make sure you can trust them" Darchi tapped on Xavier's pocket "here I'll help you, but be careful okay"
"Okay, thanks dar-gah" Xavier grabbed his head and nearly fell to the ground
"We'll talk later, we don't talk much, just be careful" Darchi's voice quickly faded
Xavier headache quickly faded, Xavier sighed as his stomach grumbled "why didn't I bring any money" he placed his hand in his pocket and felt something, he pulled out two thousand dollars "h-how,... thanks Darchi" he quickly stuffed it back into his pocket
Xavier was walked inside the gas station and grabbed a bottle of water and a premade B.L.T, sandwiches "that's all"
"Alright that'll be 10 dollars" the cashmere sighed as Xavier handed him a twenty "have a good one"
"Thanks" Xavier walked out of the store and sat on a bench
Once the cashier saw Xavier leave he snapped his fingers and watched as a portal appeared "I'll let the chief know"
"I only have fourteen days" Xavier eat one of the sandwiches "this is going to be thorough" Xavier stood up and started to walk away from the bench and thought to himself "I know my deal was to bring someone to Habix's gateway but is that the right thing to do" Xavier sighed "I mean should I be doing this"
About an hour later Xavier was walking through HyperCity "I wonder why-"
"Go away" a female voice yelled
"What" Xavier ran towards the voice "why isn't anyone else coming" Xavier and sat two people holding knives one male and one female, Xavier could see another girl with short black hair, and a fair skin complexion with tears taking a step back
"Now give us all your valuables and no one gets hurt," the female said
"I-I don't have anything so just leave me alone" answered the girl
"Oh well that's too bad"
"Darchi I need some of your power now, I know about the risk and I don't care" Xavier mumbled as his eye turned purple
"Be careful" Darchi said
"Don't worry" Xavier then walked in front of the two "leave her alone"
The guy noticed Xavier's ring, and necklace "give us that ring and we'll let you go"
Xavier looked at the girl who was clearly terrified, he then looked back at the pair "I would you won't need it" Xavier smiled "last chance otherwise, I won't hold back"
The guy ran towards Xavier trying to stab him "die you piece of shit"
As Xavier dodged the guy's knife he felt as if he was about to blackout "w-what the... hell" he thought,
he noticed the girl was about to stab the girl behind him his vision went black the next thing he saw was a knife in his hand and both robbers were lying on the ground unconscious
