He just stood there surrounded by a distressed crowd of people that literally screamed and cried as he tried to follow the rock trail covered in blood but to no avail. The shiny white grey rock was now deep red as he took a swab of it with his handkerchief trying to get as much blood as possible. Getting up he made eye contact with the priest, Xiao, but Doc just turned to watch king shouting orders at his servants while the Russian queen was crying hysterically at him.

The white castle turned grey and soon it will be dark when she finds out. The fortress was incredible, he noted watching the big rock that surrounded the castle like a big shield. Outside of the small city they were in was the big city where the people were. The big city was full of green grass and oak trees to honor the old gods. The sacred church was near the entrance to the big city. The small church did not stand out as it was barely visible but everyone knew where it was and why it was so important. Not many could go inside but for priests it was enough space to hold great ceremonies and even the crowning and marriages.

Where could they go with Aleksandar? Doc knew there were only three churches available and none of them held those men... But there was something on the other side, behind him. Could it be that they are using the old church that was tainted with vlas magic? The abandoned church that was deemed curse and so another church was built, the one in the downtown near the fortress. Doc knew of the infamous church, underneath that church was the sealed passage for Ad, where the order would always go when they are dealing with the demons. He also knew that the vlas magic is too strong there and even witches do not dare come near it. Who wouldn't be petrified after those accidents that happened in there. He only knew the stories from the people about the church.

"You are looking in that direction, so am I", Doc didn't turn to stare at Milos who approached him and stood beside him as they both stared at where that church was supposed to be.

"It does have a bad name", Doc noted as he waited for Milos to speak.

"That is where the poorest peasants that refuse to work are at. But that is not the worst part. The church is the most infamous for the babies. Georgije said it was horrific, babies bones were found buried and strewn in some type of ritual. The witch Moloch associates with said that a Moloch baby during its baptisation just stopped breathing and soon the mother bled to death as the fetus was born alive. And near churches they assault girls and boys and leave them for death for the Besomir to eat them"

"Wild vampire"

"Exactly, born from tainted blood, we had a good fight with it but I will never get out of my mind the true horror. Navi"

"Demon babies?"

"Yes, we believe that Besomir was protecting them or training them. This will give you the start and there is something for you in the underground"

Doc quickly took the small notebook to stash under his black robe to hide it from the view of anyone.

"I expect the full review once you are finished and found something", Milos said as his voice became more distant as he went away with the frantic king and queen. He sighed knowing he just found a new job and hobby. When he was done with it of course there would be more. Monster, he thought to himself, if they called him that how would they call the others that gave him permission and asked for it. A small piece of the chess will always be the one to fall and blame on. Perhaps that was why he went with the Moloch boy. Aleksandar was like him, he could feel it as they both shared the same interest and thoughts. No one will know the truth on his experiments nor it should be known. Perhaps that was why he was banished. He knew too much so the order decided to exile him into that forest.

Religion was never for him, he knew nothing but orthodox belief and he was the servant of God. He knew God forgave him with Aleksandar's appearance.

As he opened the big old rusty wooden doors, they creaked as they open and all he could see was black. Going in he quickly went straight ahead feeling for things. He knew that in the front there should be a match and a lantern to light up.
