Somewhere in the Mediterranean Sea a boat sailed slowly, there was nothing in sight as the boat is carried by the water. Shimmering water rose and fell as the boat passes. The boat was quite small, carrying only 10 men and quite a few necessities to be sold in Europe.
The captain of the boat looked to be quite old wearing a dirty yet clean looking shirt out of all the crew. His face was sickly looking as if he never once washed it, even smelled of rotten fish. He slowly went towards an opening in his ship and went down below where he kept all his things he was going to sell for a cheap price.
"You cost me my head you do know that", he spoke up slowly, his voice raspy from not drinking water and hoarse it was as if he had a hard time even speaking, "Be glad I didn't throw you off the ship and to him". A lone cloaked dark figure emerged from somewhere n the corner it was sitting amongst many spices and animals. It kept it's back toward the man as if it didn't even care. A voice as gentle as the demon and as bitter as him replied, "He already knew I was in there', the voice morphing from a demonic voice to a soft mature voice of a woman. Her black hands rose from the cloak and stripping off the cloak to reveal flawless black/brown skin, scars littered her body. Her hair was a beautiful black braided in many braids to symbolize her lost tribe. What would catch anyone eye was her white dress stripped of her traditional attire and dolls littered the ground. "You did give me your valuables so I had to do it, but what I don't get is if he knew why not kill you instantly?", he asked in a hushed voice making her tense before replying, "Curiosity killed a cat captain, so I warn you not to ask us questions". "Your kind should be slaughtered for these demonic inhuman ways you people live with. Curse you all, I should've just killed you and let you be at his mercy like your tribe was", this man was testing her patience she clenched her fist until it went white. "My people's ways? Are inhuman? Isn't that beautiful? Izinhlobo zakho zigqilaza izinhlobo zethu futhi zisiphuce impilo yethu. Ukuthi sinesikhumba esihlukile akusho ukuthi singabantu abaphansi", (Your species enslaves our species and robs us of our life. Just because we have different skin doesn't mean we're less human) clicking noise was heard during her speech as she spoke her native language confusing the man and making him scatter off to where he came. She turned her head around slowly to look at where the man was last standing, perhaps he thought she was bewitching him. Her hazel dark eyes looked almost dead as she couldn't even thing.
He knew she will go searching for het grandfather who was enslaved by those men. Incognito knew she was the only one who could know where he is as the old man blocked his whole aura from them all. He was like an outcast, she needed to find him before it was too late. Serbia was his current home and soon it will be hers, he told her the book was there but could she trust them? Would they enslave her? No, she shouldn't think about it, as she was Uluthando, granddaughter of the great priest and the mistress of voodoo and black magic. Wiping away her tears she picked up one of her dolls that was missing an eye it was brown with hair on it. Her mothers hair was on it... clinging to her doll all she could do was cry as she lost everything and needs a home. How can she find a home if she never even believed in it? When her mother was starved and stoned for being a witch, Uluthando was just three years old. She dwelled with the forbidden book that was written by demonic beings which lets you have unlimited powers. Book that gives you unlimited powers? Who are they kidding? They didn't kill their mother for this, Mpilo... That was when she let out one tear fall, Mpilo why? Why did you leave me, us?
She should not cry but how could she not when Mpilo never was there with her as they were adults, he was in Burundi looking for mothers killers and for the book. What is the book? What is this book that drove her brother insane and made their mother die for. Witchcraft book? It does give you powers, probably chants... But her grandfather said the book was evil and had only one wielder, the Ancient One. She needed to ask her grandfather who is this Ancient one and why he create this book?
He let me get away... But I will not be tricked by him again.
