"Will I ever meet father?", Rusalka asked she didn't know how much she asked looking at her three dragons who were looking at the meat she brought them. She leaned her head on her arms as she watched the three try to eat the meat. She kicked her legs as she thought of things she could say to her father and her other brothers. Her white and blue dress was on her ankles as she kicked it with her sandaled boots. They said she could wear anything and she chose to wear a simple dress she knew her mother would wear.

"I know you two can't talk but it is nice to not be alone in such a big forest, I don't even know where I am. One thing I am asking myself is how you three know polish? Oh yes you can't tell me", she spoke softly before looking at the two who were motionlessly sitting n the same chairs for a long time. Sighing she turned to her three baby dragons who were still trying to munch on the meat. She smiled and laughed a bit as the three looked at her curiously, as their wings beat and they come closer to the meat.

"Come on, breathe fire", she encouraged them as the dark red one just hissed at her and the other two just took tiny bites. They refused again. She watched the dark red one as he smelled it as he took a few small steps as he circled the food before he finally screeched and smoke came out but nothing. Rusalka felt joy as she clapped and watched him try to eat the small piece as he swallowed it barely. He did it! She watched as the other two also swallowed the pieces that they took from him as they happily munched. She watched as they looked around but Rusalka quickly took them in her arms. As she led them to their cage, she could hear them protest as they tried to go away but they couldn't move.

She quickly locked the door as she watched the three lie down as their heads go out as they hang. They quickly went to sleep as they watched her with sad eyes. She was also sad about putting them in cages but what could she do when she didn't know what to do with them.

Looking behind her she, quickly go the heavy cage as Pestilence helped her and they both went to the outside. Perhaps now they could be happier. She watched as the three looked around screeching happily, as they heard birds and smelled the cool fresh air. It truly is amazing to be outside. She wished she could go out and explore the world, play with other kids and perhaps even play with the livestock. Could she do it when she comes to Serbia? Would father play with her? Of course, not, he was a king and she would have to be a princess.

A princess.. She never knew how to be one, never even knew that life of privilege. She only knew how to run away from assassin's and from the people she thought were her people. Perhaps she would never know how to be a princess, much less know how to react to the help in the castle. Will the Serbian people want her or accept her? Will she be a outsider all her life? Her mother was always an outsider for being a illegitimate child of the king of Poland who never once gave them the life they deserved. Rusalka knew he was dead now and his kingdom taken but why did they still want her mother and her?

Turning around to look at the men behind her she could not help but speak out to the two men, "I am going to go and search for flowers!". Seeing the two nod she quickly went into the forest happy. She wanted to feel like a kid for a little while and try to build a flower crown her mother taught her how to do when she was a small child.

She looked at the beautiful lilies as she tried to get them all together but all she could do was sigh and throw them as she huffed tears prickling her eyes She couldn't do it, why? Why couldn't she do the simple task? She quickly gathered the flowers in her apron as she looked around, returning to the house. As she was running, she stopped seeing the beautiful lone white rose that just stood there untouched by anything. Coming up to it she was like in a trance as she slid down to her knees slowly and carefully plucking it. Her mother always said roses had thorns and she had to be careful. She watched with curiosity as the rose didn't even get ruined in this cold wind like all those other pink roses. She looked to the right to see a lone red rose sitting on the ruined red roses. What could possibly hurt them? A animal, it might be...

Getting up after plucking the red rose, she quickly went toward the house not stopping as she knew there would be wild animals around here at this hour. She had to come back...

As she went into the house, she had to go to the table as she let her brothers see what she was doing. She was happily showing them the beautiful roses that were still so beautiful.. She happily started to do the crown again as she followed their moves as they elegantly made her the crown. This was easy, she thought to herself looking at the three crowns they made. She felt something soft and warm come around her shoulder and she looked behind her to see Pestilence resting a thick scarf on her as he goes to sit on his previous place. She smiled softly as she watched him put the cage on the table so they wouldn't feel cold. He was truly a brother she never knew needed, a caring person like her mother.

Would she get that same warmth from her father's wife? Would she accept her? She hoped she would at least tolerate her. I have to be kind even if they would be rude towards me, mother would want me to behave like a lady.
