Ananta pov
Almost a month has past since returning to the village. The orcs proved to be a very reliable work force and thanks to them my hot springs were almost complete. Something I was really looking forward to. With everything going so smoothly I had little other to do than take a well deserved break.
My red dragon mouth let out a large yawn from my place in the shade of the tree that overlooked the village. Rimuru stood a little ways ahead of me on-top Ranga's back talking to himself about something. I tried to listen in but the warm breeze combined with the shade of the tree was making it very hard to stay awake. Eventually I just gave in and shut my eyes. Letting myself drift off into sleeps sweet sweet embrace.
I hadn't been out for very long, but when I woke up again both Ranga and Rimuru were gone. Something also seemed to be going on at the front of the village. Shifting to my smaller form I took to the air and made my way over the town rubbing sleep from my eyes as I did.
I landed a little ways back behind the Kijin who were all gathered together and watching something infront of them.
"What's going on?" I asked covering the yawn that escaped my mouth.
"Great Ananta!" Benimaru exclaimed when I suddenly appeared beside him. "I thought you were asleep."
"Just woke up." I replied blinking my eyes to see what was happening infront of me. As I did I was forced to do a double take. A large man in full body armour was sword fighting with Rimuru. Treyni was also there watching the battle and behind them was a group of more men standing beside... Holy shit were those pegasus?!
I had always loved the idea of horses that could fly in the air. Was I currently a dragon that could fly on its own, yes. Was that going to squander my childhood dream. Not in the slightest.
"The man facing Great Rimuru is the hero king of the dwarves, Gazel Dwargo." Benimaru explained forcing the stars out of my eyes.
"The dwarven king?" I muttered out loud mostly to myself, studying the man before me. He definitely gave of a very kingly vibe, but I thought dwarves were supposed to be..shorter. I shrugged it off. Guess Tolkien wasn't right about everything.
"Well I suppose there's no harm on letting them duke it out a bit I suppose. Ranga!"
"Yes!" The Wolf appeared from the shadows. Had he had hands instead of paws he probably would have saluted. "What can I do Great Ananta!?"
"Besides being the absolute best boy? Run and tell Shuna and the others to prepare some food and drinks for our guests."
"Right away!" With a small woof the wolf ran off into the town and I returned my attention back onto the battle.
Something seemed very familiar about the dwarf kings style of fighting. Realizing what it was I glanced over to Hakurou on surprise and lifted my finder to descretly point at the king.
"Did you?" I asked raising an eyebrow is question.
The old man chuckled and nodded at me with a smile. "Sharp as always I see great Ananta."
I wistled softly just as the king caught Rimuru off guard and almost got him with an upward slash. He then brought his sword down fast and heavy, a move Rimuru blocked with his own sword right before it split his head in two. The moment hadn't even lasted a second and many had even missed the king's lightning fast attack. So a wave of shock passed through both sides when they saw Rimuru had been able to block it.
Rimuru's body shook slightly from the weight of the blow and smirked up at the king. In response his Majesty smiled and let out a deep laugh.
"HAHA! You managed to stop my strike."
