Everyone stood stock still with held breaths. It was so quiet that the crickets in the woods sounded like my own heart beating inside my chest. All eyes were on Rimuru as he sat alone on the bench with a plate of meat infront of him.
The slime reached out taking a stick and slowly brought it up towards his mouth. The watching crowd leaned forward in anticipation as Rimuru opened his mouth and took a big bite of the meat. A wave of panic spread throughout the crowd when Rimuru doubled over like he was in pain.
"G..Great Rimuru?" Rigurd tried hesitantly.
"Is it not to your tastes?" Rigur asked worriedly as sweat rolled down everyone's faces.
Sudently Rimuru looked up with sparkles his eyes and flowers bursting around his head. "IT'S SO GOOD!"
A great cheer went up among the goblins like they had just won a major battle. Ananta was no exception, getting caught up in the excitement while everyone congratulated the villages designated cook with compliments and pats on the back.
The party began full swing as Rimuru continued to stuff his face with as much food as possible.
Makeshift tables had been set up by placing slabs of wood overtop flat tree stumps and glass lanterns hang off strings overhead. Everyone ate and drank, talking happily among eachother. Everyone except for one or two goblins were enjoying the party.
I noticed that Rohana, the pregnant goblin, and her husband were absent. That wasn't too big a surprise though. She was getting very close to her due date and had most likely opted to stay back and rest instead of party. Her husband probably at her side like he always was
A bit off from the main party the ogres sat on-top a blanket and after some convincing I managed to get the two females to come join the main party with me. They were hesitant at first but it didn't take long for them to relax among the light hearted goblins. As it turned out pinky was really good with different plants and herbs and ended up talking exidedly with the other girls about different recipes and healing plants. Purple was also having a good time, taking to the dance floor like a fish to water.
I was more than happy to join her in that aspect as we danced together to the beat of the instruments the dwarven brothers had been kind enough to make for me. By now everyone was used to me changing form when I danced and I forgot to warn purple before I did. Although a part of me didn't regret the shocked look that sprouted on her face when I did.
Together we danced as others joined us and I found myself teaching some of them a few dances from my past world. You can bet I had a good laugh doing that.

I decided to stay in my older form as I approached Rimuru, still stuffing his face, with a shawl around my shoulders to block the chilly night wind. My dragon form may be immune to the cold but my other forms only had resistance to the cold. I liked it though, it make me feel alive.
"Enjoying the food I see." I teased light-heartedly seeing Rimuru with food stuffed in his mouth and even more in both hands.
"Awre wou kwninding mwe?! Fwis hwis hweavmen!"
I chuckled listening to Rimuru talk to me like a happy little kid with his birthday cake. "I already know that genius. Now come on, Rigurd's talking to the ogres right now and we shouldn't keep them waiting much longer."
"But I'm not full yet." Rimuru pouted swallowing the food in his mouth.
"Rimuru you inhaled an entire ass dragon." I pointed out with an eye roll. "I don't think it's even possible for you to get full."
