Rey and Hattie closed their eyes once more, I took their hands and rested their hands on the little rocks beneath them."Breathe. Just Breathe. Reach out with your feelings." The two relaxed and their breath evened out. "What do you see?"
"The Island." Hattie answered and I beamed proudly
"Life. Death and Decay." Rey continued as the saw the world the the eyes of the force. "It feeds new life."
"Warmth. Cold. Peace and Violence." Hattie continued
"And between it all?" Luke questioned moving to be behind Rey. I took his side and watched the two connect with their sensitive self.
"Balance. Energy. A force" Rey replied. A smile crossed Hatties face as the rocks around her began to float.
"I can feel that force within me, a light, a peace. The one that oozes from Mama." she giggled happily.
"And this is the lesson. That force does not belong to the Jedi. To say that the Jedi dies, the light does, is vanity. Can you feel that?" he asks them as I watched on. Hattie smile drops
"There's something else." Rey mutters "Beneath the island."
"A place, a dark place. I don't like it." Hattie winces
"Balance. Powerful light, powerful darkness." I chime in feeling apprehension for my daughter and sister.
"It's cold." Rey mutters as Hattie gasps opening her eyes. she jumped of the slab and runs to me. I hold onto her as Rey stays there. The slab cracks beneath her and the rocks rise a little "It's calling me."
"Resist it Rey. Rey!" I call out to her and reach out "Rey!" everything stops and she wakes up panting. We could tell what happened
"You went straight into the dark." Luke muttered scared
"That place was trying to show me something." she replied. I knew the feeling, the darkness called to everyone but only the strong managed to resist.
"It offered something you needed. And you didn't even try to stop yourself." Luke went to leave.
"But i didn't see you. Nothing from you. I felt Rory and Hattie, I saw them stand there and do nothing but you...You've closed yourself off from the force." She breathed and I looked back to my Master.
"Now it makes sense."
"I know only two people with this raw strength before. Ben Solo and Rory Holdo. Only one strove to resist. It didn't scare me enough then. It does now." He left the three of us there.
"Rory." Rey turned to me.
"I get it Rey, I do. But I can't help here. I'm going to check in with Chewie and see how everyone back home is doing." I left her alone and took Hattie with me. She went to play with R2 while I was with Chewie. He was having trouble getting through he had been since we arrived.
"You still can't reach the resistance?" I ask and he shook his head "Keep at it, if anyone can it's you. When you do check their status and ask about Finn." I left the ship but stayed under it as it started to rain.
