Chapter Eleven - Together as one

I took a gasp of air and sat up straight. The was destruction all around me, this place was all but dead. Something had happened, though I wasn't waiting to find out. On the other side of the room I saw Ben there still unconscious. i knelt next to him and kissed his head.

"I will never give up on you Ben." I vowed, then I sensed  that someone was approaching "If it helps you can blame me." I ran off using Snokes escape pod to gain my freedom and live to fight another day.

-3rd Person-

Rory, Finn, Rose and BB-8 made it of the Snokes base, the rest of the resistance reached the surface of the disused rebel base. When Ben came to, he did as was predicted and blamed everything on Rory. Though he knew where her destination would be, he assumed command and too the army onto the surface to wage war.

Finn, Rose and BB-8 made it to the base before they did but there was still no sign of , Rory, Rey, Hattie and Chewie. In their absence Finn gave the hope that others would come they just needed time. And time is what they were buying with whatever they had on hand in the dis used base.

The ground forces and the pilots fought to get close and take out the ground cannon. 

Meanwhile Rory made contact with the Falcon to be picked up and the returned to the fold to help out.  After a brief talk and apology, Rory and Hattie fired on the First Order. Taking out the TIE fighters that threatened their friends and family.

"Mom! Is it really bad that I'm having fun, doing this with you!" Hattie asked out to her mother and she jut barely reached the controls.

"Ditto, sweetheart. Just try not to kill your father, we still have hope yet!" She called back "Rey, Chewie, peel off from the battle. Draw them away from the speeders."

"You got it sis!" Rey replied and they took off, the TIE fighters followed in pursuit through a split out part, though it did no good for the falcon

"Seriously, come on guys." Rory huffed as the blasters were getting screamed on both sides.

"Sorry!" Rey apologised manoeuvring   it a little better..

-Rory-

I screamed a little as something went a little wrong as we came back above ground. I climbed out and went to get Hattie.

"Hattie, come on." I held out my hand and she climbed out and up, the two of us ran to the cockpit and strapped  her in the connected my cloaked beacon bracelet into the navigation. Hattie took in a large breath.

"Hattie?" I asked

"I can sense him, both of them. Luke Skywalker and father are facing one another." I knelt in front of her

"Look at me, look at me." she did "Clear your mind, right now their fight is a distraction. Our task right now is finding the others. Okay?" she nodded

"Breathe." R2 beeped at me

"If the bacons right beneath us they've got to be somewhere. Keep scanning for life forms." I tell the droid. I help Hattie clear her mind.

"I see them, there." Rey pointed, we landed, the three of us climbed down there was a rock pile in the way. "Lifting rocks." she breathed. I took my sister and my daughters hand

"Together." we harnessed the force as one and the rocks levitated and moved revealing the others. We threw them back and Finn ran over to us hugging Rey and I. We returned it in earnest.

"Rory, you're alive." Poe exclaimed and I blew out my lips

"Like you ever doubted me." I wrap my arms around him, I helped them onto the ship when I stopped short. As did, Leia, Hattie and Rey. Luke, he was gone. I touched my heart. I left them moment to make sure that the last survivors boarded when I saw Ben again. I stared at him for a moment and he did the same with me before I closed the boarding door.

With everyone left, now safe I gave a proper greeting. I knelt in front of BB-8 who greeted me with happy beeps.

"I've missed you too, buddy. I hope Poe wasn't much trouble." he beeped back making me chuckle. I stood and made my way over to a now sitting Leia. "Luke is gone. I felt it. Both he and Mom are gone" i stated as recollected the feeling of loss I had mid fight with Ben.

"But it wasn't sadness or pain. It was peace and purpose."

"I felt it to." she agreed and I looked around

"How do we build a rebellion from this?" I ask her holding the broken light sabre

"We have everything we need." she told me
