CASEY WILLOWS DIDN'T THINK MUCH TO EMILY LEAVING THE BUILDING. She was ready to figure this Ian Doyle out and how to stop him from killing families. The team had been trying to go over it.
"I got four names on the bottom of the list Prentiss gave us." Morgan stated, holding up a piece of paper. "Luke Renault, Lawrence Riley, Lila Rafferty, Lyle Rogers."
"All with the initials L.R.." Ashley stated. "The CIA uses cryptograms like that to assign to non-official cover agents working the same case." Hotch said. "So do other foreign countries," Morgan told. "These last four names are covers... spies."
Garcia grabbed the piece of paper from Morgan. "Wait. No. This isn't right." Casey furrows her eyebrows in confusion. "What's up?" She asks. "Do you see this space? That shouldn't be here." Garcia points to the paper.
"Could it be a formatting error?" Reid questions. "No, this is a spreadsheet template. Formatting doesn't allow for this. There's a missing name on here." Garcia tells.
"It's another spy whose cover is L.R.." Hotch told. "Why is it covered?" Casey asks. Reid begins to mutter something to himself, causing the team to look over at him and go: "What?"
"'Lauren Reynolds is dead.'" Everyone turns their attention to Reid. "Don't you remember what Prentiss said that on a phone call seventeen days ago?" Reid looks at Casey as she tried to remember. "Her intonation wasn't surprise or grief. It was like a mantra, like she was reminding herself. Lauren Reynolds, L.R.."
"If Prentiss is the last name on that list, she's on Doyle's list, too." Ashley tells. "That explains her behavior the past month. The secrets, the evasion." Rossi points out. "She's been biting her fingernails again, too." Reid adds on.
"She's been acting on-edge lately," Casey spoke, finally realizing that not only she realized that Emily was acting off but everyone was noticing as well. "Like she's being followed. She snapped at me and Pen the other day for asking about it." She stated and Garcia nodded along.
"Guys." Hotch spoke and everyone turned over and saw that Hotch was holding up Emily's badge and her gun. "She left her badge and gun? Why would she do that?" Morgan questioned.
"That doesn't make sense," Reid spoke. "Why run? We're her family. We can help." Casey had the same question running through her head. Why wouldn't she want their help?
Rossi speaks: "Doyle's killing families. She's not married, not close to relatives. He was ready to wipe us out. She ran to protect us."
