I woke up with a start.

Where am I?

I looked around. Was I in some sort of old-fashioned vehicle? I groaned and sat up. I took in all the people around me. There was a girl who looked sort of Asian, with long black hair and startling sea-green eyes. There was also a guy with dirty blonde hair and chiseled features, a stunning girl with freckles, wide, beautiful brown eyes and a figure similar to the first girl. There was also a girl at the front who had her back to me, so I could only see her long brown hair. Oh, and there were two goat-boys, one of which I recognised. Laurie's face lit up when he saw I was awake.

Then I looked out the window and nearly lost my breakfast. WE WERE FLYING. Like literally, fifty feet off the ground, if not more.

I drew my gaze sharply back to the inside of the compartment and got up. I was a little dizzy, but otherwise fine. "Who are you guys? What's going on? How are we flying? Where are we going? Was that a cyclops I killed back there? Wh-"

At this point, my onslaught of questions was cut off by the blonde guy motioning for me to stop and saying, "Whoa, whoa, settle down! One question at a time!" and laughing.

Fine, I thought. "Who are you guys?"

"Well, I'm Adam, that-" He indicated the girl with her back turned to me "- is Courtney." She gave a little wave without turning around. "This--" he pointed towards the beautiful brown-eyed girl "--is Lara. Don't turn your back on her if you want to keep your money and belongings." The girl--Lara--grinned. "This guy--" The goat dude I didn't know "--is Briar, and THIS--" The Asian girl "--is Augi. She's new, like you." Augi gave me a weak smile.

"Okay. What's going on?"

He got a pained expression on his face that instantly told me that he was not going to answer me. "I'll leave that for Chiron to explain."

Ugh."Who's Chiron?"

Adam suddenly had to hide a smile."You'll find that out soon enough."

"And how are we flying?"

Adam grinned."Pegasi," He said casually.

My jaw almost hit the floor. "P-p-p-pegasi?!"

Now Adam was thoroughly amused. "Yeah. Pegasi. You know, horses wi-"

"I KNOW what pegasi are!" I snapped. I was getting annoyed. "And w-was that a cyclops I killed back there?" I asked, my voice getting small.

"Yeah, it was." Laurie piped up."I woke up right around the time you stabbed it. Great hit, by the way," He added.

"Oookay. Where are we going?" I strongly suspected that I wasn't going to get an answer for this question, either.

"Oh, you'll find out soon enough."

At this point I decided I strongly disliked Adam. I fumed in silence for the rest of the ride.

I looked up, startled. What now?

We were landing, I realized. I looked out the window, interested to see where we were just as we landed on the ground. A crowd of people, all wearing orange T-shirts and blue jeans, crowded around the vehicle. A man in a wheel chair and wearing a tweed jacket rolled to the front.

"Welcome to Camp Half-Blood." He said to me and the Asian girl--Augi--before turning to the others.

"I trust things went well?" The man asked.

"Yes, sir. Although Augi was attacked by an Earthborn and Grace faced a cyclops, they were defeated with no major injuries."

The man raised his eyebrows. "Indeed? Well, I should like to hear the full story later, but right now, we have more important matters to discuss." He turned back to me and Augi. "Well, my friends, I assume this must be a bit of a shock for you." When we nodded vigorously, he continued. "Well, I'm afraid I have more shocking news for you. The Greek gods are real, and-"

I cut him off. "Wait. You're telling me this NOW? You couldn't have told me, say, three or four years ago, when I started to believe they were real?"

The man looked startled."Why did you believe in them?"

"I..." I trailed off. Why DID I believe in them? "Well, when I started reading about them, I just felt it. I-" How the f*ck was I supposed to explain this to someone who had never had that feeling before? "I just felt it. It just felt true. I don't know how to explain it."

"Well, then. I will continue with what I was going to say before you cut in." He still looked quite disgruntled, but he continued. "The Greek gods are real, and every once in a while, they would come down to earth and fall in love with mortals. Their children were half god, half mortal. They were called demigods. This place is the only place in the world safe for demigods--Besides Camp Jupiter, of course, but that is only for Roman demigods. You are Greek demigods, however."

"Wait WHA?!?!" I said at the same time as Augi asked, "Does that mean we have powers? And are unicorns real?"

"I am Chiron," Said the man in the wheelchair. "This is not my true form." He promptly got up out of his wheelchair, leaving a set of fake legs behind.

Chiron, of course, was A CENTAUR. Sure, why not? Not as crazy as some of the other stuff that's been going on.

I looked up at Chiron. He said, "Come, it is time to meet Mr. D.

Oooh darling Mr. D! I'm sure Grace will become great friends with him!!!

So, any guesses about which god or goddess is Grace's parent?

Peace out, my lovely demigod friends!!!
