It's Sunday morning, currently 4 A.M. Today we are boarding the cruise. I had the kids and Chloe sleep over but I haven't gone to sleep. I was in my office all night with Christopher, my good friend from high school who works with me, making sure he knew what he was doing while I was gone 

"Are you sure you got this dude?" I ask "Cause I can stay and meet them at the next-"

"Jace I got this, stop worrying" Christopher interrupts 

"Alright man, good luck" I say heading for the door

"have fun" he replies 

We had a taxi driver taking us to the port so I put our luggage in the trunk and made my way back inside to wake everyone up. I came for Chloe first but she was awake in the bathroom already 

"What do I wear?" she asked, she looks worried 

"Is what your wearing your biggest concern right now?" I question "Just wear something comfy and hurry. we are already late" I say walking out. I mean I was just wearing grey sweatpants and a lose black shirt and sneakers. just something comfy. 

First I woke up Michael and he was walking very slowly, can't blame him though it's 4 in the morning. Ava would not budge so I only had the option to carry her to the car.

Now at the boating port, we were waiting to board the ship. Ava had woken up but was still sleepy and Michael was just cranky. 

"Chloe you've been on a cruise before" I say

"So I just hand them the passport and then what?" She asks 

"Give me the passports & tickets, I'll do it" I smile at her, trading Ava for her belongings. I walk up to the front desk "Good morning ma'am. Here are my four tickets for the Royal Luxury Suite for 4, the name should be under Jace Ortiz and if not just Ortiz in general" I say handing over our passports and tickets 

"Alright, thank you sir. Your room number is 4336 level 5. Make sure you bring back the keycards at check outs. Have an amazing trip guys" she smiles handing me a keycard as I nod

"Follow along children" I look at Chloe and Michael 

"I'm sorry did I hear Royal Suite?" Chloe asks 

"Yeah, I was gonna get the regular one but it had one bunk bed and I knew there was gonna be an argument over it so I just got the suite for us" I reply walking into the elevator 

"But Jace that is too much money! we do not need all that space!" Chloe answers walking alongside 

"Chloe Ann, please. If I chose to spoil my family, so be it. And you cannot stop me" I say "Now follow me so we can get our suite" 

I opened up our door and walked into a big spacious living room that had a big slide door window to a balcony outside. On the left side, was the master room and on the right was a regular. I sent Ava down in the bed on the regular bed

"Mike!" I whisper yell 

"What dad?" he replies 

"You can go back to bed if you want" I say opening the covers for him, which he gladly accepts and tucks himself in. I walk back out and see Chloe opening the couch bed up "Chloe" I speak deeply "Put the bed back, you are sleeping with me for darn sake"

"But Jace-"

"No no no no no" I walk over and grab her arm and pull her into the room and close the door "This is our room we will be staying together in our bed" I smile "Now, let's get comfy in our bed so I can fall asleep holding you, thank you very much" I say as she sighs and walks into the bed with me. Won again.
