Jace's Point of View

I pulled into the house at 4:30 am. this house had so many life lasting memories between me and all the family members of the Orlando's. I put my thoughts aside and jumped out of the car. My main focus was Chloe and the kids. I knocked on the door, shocking Ryan opened up.

"I was about to call you" He said opening up the door for me 

"Where is she" I asked 

"She's upstairs in her old room with the kids, they just laid down. Good luck" he said locking up the door 

I sighed and walked up the stairs. This house was my second home, full of memories. The banister that me and Kaiden always slid down, the gaming room we spent all our time in, the hall way closet we locked ourselves in, and Kaiden's room. With Chloe's room right next to it. I stared at Kaiden's door for a few seconds, thinking about all the good times. When I heard a door closing right next to me in the bathroom. I turned around..

"Jace? What are y-" Chloe started but I quickly shushed her and bought her into the guest room 

"What are you doing at my parents house Jace? It's 4:30 am!" she yelled 

"Sh sh alright alright. Lower the tone" I replied 

"No!" She yelled back 

"Why would I just leave you there?" I said 

"Jace if you don't want us in your life then just leave . I'm not putting the kids through this" She exclaimed 

"Chloe I did not just drive here 3 hours if you didn't mean anything to me. I have sacrificed so much for you and the kids between trying to find you guys, keeping you guys safe, just making time to see you guys and after everything we've been through these past few months your gonna believe Kaiden the one that's ruined everything get in the middle of this and you think that's something I'd say or do?" I yelled 

"Yes Jace you've always been so self centered and always cared about yourself. Everything you've done was always for yourself. You've always been like that since the day you and Kaiden locked me in my room for a whole day and forgot about me. You and Kaiden always got along because you both are so full of each other and don't care about anything or anyone else" She yelled back at me 

"Is that really what you think of me?" I asked 

"Yes Jace, I don't think we should see each other anymore" She answered with tears forming in her eyes 

I sighed "Ok. I won't fight back since I'm so self centered. Have the kids call me if they need anything" I said walking out 

"Wait Jace" she yelled as I closed the bedroom door. I knew she was crying, but I couldn't help.

I turned around and saw the kids laying in her bed 

"I was so proud to be a father" I thought to myself. 

I walked down the stairs and ran into Ryan 

"Thanks Mr. O, but things aren't working out between us. Take care" I said walking out the door.

I got into my car, about to leave when I saw Chloe run out from the garage 

"Jace!" she yelled as we looked at each other "Wait" she mouthed

I shook my head slightly and began backing out. I drove all the way back home.

"Boss man's home" Jack said 

"You boys take the day off" I said softly 

They all looked at each other 

"Did something hap-" Ella started 

"I don't wanna talk about it. Goodnight guys" I said walking up to my room.
