jace's point of view
"and don't call this number again and waste my time!" i yelled through the line and smashed it down
running 3 businesses is hard. no time alone. or any privacy.
"sir, mr. and mrs. Jetsons are in the waiting room" my assistant said walking in
"what? it's after hours!" i said exhausted
"so... should i tell them to leave?" she asked
"yes!" i yelled
she quickly hurried out of my office. the bell rang.
7:00 pm. finally. i can go home and relax
i quickly got my belongings together and walked out of my office, ignoring everyone yelling to me. i jumped in my black mercedes benz and drove straight home. i parked my car and practically ran inside. i went into my room and changed into grey nike sweatpants with a red under armor tank top. i went downstairs into my kitchen and made an energy drink. while i was putting the powder in, one of my assistants came in while he was about to leave
"by the way sir, two lovely little kids stopped by. and a generous woman. they were both looking for you" he said as i stopped putting the powder in and looked at him
"michael and ava?" i asked confused
"oh yes! that was them! they were stopping by before their game it looked like it. they were wearing blue and silver uniforms and gear. they left after i told them you weren't here" he said to me
all week i knew i was missing something. my kids. i mentally slapped myself. how could i forget about my own children
"damn it! when did they stop by?" i asked
"maybe a few minutes before you arrived home" he answered
"i can still make it to there game" i thought to myself
i quickly ran upstairs and put on a long black nike hoodie and put on my nike air forces and grabbed my phone and ran downstairs, grabbed my keys and POOF i'm in my car. i was driving out of my neighborhood when Kaiden called me
( note Kaiden is Chloe's brother )
"Kaiden i can't talk right now" i said quickly
"how long has it been since you last talked to Chloe?" he asked me
"umm maybe last-" my thoughts caught me off remembering Kaiden still doesn't know about me and Chloe and the kids
"dude you know this. i haven't seen her since we broke up. like 5 years ago" i said
"are you sure?" he asked me
"yeah why wouldn't i be sure?" i asked him
"well just because i saw someone who looked exactly like Chloe and had two kids with her and Ella and Jack are here and their talking to her now" he said
"damn it" i thought. Michael must be going against Kaiden's sons game
"well your looking at someone else than. everyone hasn't talked to Chloe since that night Kaiden" i told him speeding up
"i know i know. well i'll see you later than i guess..." he said
"uhh yeah bye" i pressed the hang up button on bluetooth and sped up
Chloe's side of the family has hated her as long as i could remember. she accidentally got there business closed down. that's when she moved in with me. i knew Chloe from Kaiden. he was my best bud. but he hates Chloe too. we stayed friends but he couldn't even look at Chloe. it was kinda romance like "my best friends sister". well he was fine with us dating.
once i finally arrived i jumped out of my car and onto the field, searching for Chloe. i saw her bright dirty blonde hair and ran to her, who was talking to Jack and Ella. i ran and joined there circle
"Jace?" they all said at the same time
"pretty sure that's my name" i said as they rolled their eyes
"what are you doing here?" Ella asked
"no time for that... Chloe did you know that Kaiden's kid was on the Red Snakes?" i asked her
( the red snakes is a made up team lol )
"no i didn't even know he had a kid?" she said
"why is he here?" she said a little frightened
Chloe has been scared of her family ever since they had a fight. she didn't tell them about the twins, her job, her house, us. she was scared if she told them about the twins that they'd take them away from her. that's how scary they are
"umm" i said not being able to tell her the person she's horrified of is here
"well yeah if his kids here then of course he's here Jace" Jack said looking at me
"what?" Chloe said worried
"hey hey calm down it's okay" i said going to hug her
i looked up at Jack at glared at him as he put his hands up in defense
we watched the rest of the game and me and Chloe went to get Ava
"Ava!!" Chloe yelled
she turned around tired and exhausted and looked at me and ran. i bent down to her level and she jumped into my chest, making me groan
"i missed you daddy!!" she said
"i missed you to princess" i said picking her up
we walked over to Michael and got him and i put them in chloe's car
"you didn't have to come." chloe said as i closed the car door
"chloe. there my kids. of course i'm gonna be here for them" i said looking at her
she put her hands up in defense "damn she's so beautiful i wanna kiss her"
"well i have to go" chloe said "school night"
"oh yeah... bye chlo" i took her hand and kissed it as she smiled and blushed
i watched as they drove away. all i thought about at night was chloe.
