It has been three weeks since I've found out I'm pregnant, again. I haven't told Jace, but I know I have to. I guess I'm just waiting for a good time to announce it. Ella has announced hers already, she asked to do it together but I just wasn't ready. I'm trying to look on the bright side, a new baby! Small clothes, diapers, a big bump of love growing in. But, my past just keeps getting to me. It's an overwhelming feeling. I've been holding in this secret for so long.
"Chlo, lets go!" Jace yells downstairs
"Coming!" I shout back
I join Jace and the kids into the car. Today, we are going to brunch with Jace's parents & Ella and Jack. I am wearing a long sleeve flowy light blue short dress with white sandals. Jace matched me with kaki's and a light blue polo and Michael looking identical. Ava was wearing a white skirt with flowers and a blue top. Cute lil family.. maybe today will get my mind off things.
arriving at the restaurant we hop out one by one and I sat next to Jace. They were all in a family conversation so I just sat out and minded my business. I ordered a soup, nothing fancy. When the food came out, everyone was overjoyed with the amount of pancakes, toast, eggs, and all the other options in front of us. I hadn't had soup in a long time and figured it was safe to eat, but after a few slurps, it didn't feel safe. I didn't wanna cause a scene, so I put it down for a few minutes
"is it good?" Jace asked
"Yeah" I reply "Just still hot"
Gosh.. what is in this? just the smell is making me so nauseous. I feel like throwing up all over this table.
"Chlo, you ok?" I hear Ella ask
"What? oh, yea yea I'm.. fine" I reply
"You sure? your really sweaty and pale" Jack adds
"Chlo?" Jace looks at me
Oh God, I'm seeing two of everything. I shut my eyes and fall onto Jace and immediately hear everyone back out from their chairs
"Chlo? Look at me babe are you ok?" Jace asks, repeatedly
"Chloe, are you ok?" Ella asks, holding my hand and rubbing it in circles to calm me down "Jace you should take her home"
"Yeah, I think were gonna head out" Jace answers "Mom, dad I'll see you soon"
I can't open my eyes still.. its dark all around and blurry. I feel Jace pick me up to the car and place me in the seat
"Is mommy ok?" I hear Michael ask
"I dunno, Chlo do we need to go to the hospital?" Jace asks
"No Jace I just wanna go home" I cry holding my face
"Ok ok, let's go home" he replies shutting my door
all the way home, I pull my legs close to me and look out the window. I can't believe this is happening again. I Just wanna shut myself in a room and cry. And that's what I did when I got home. I ran into the bathroom and locked the door and slid down and cried. I embarrassed myself today, and Jace. and the kids. And only Ella knows what's wrong but of course we didn't say anything.
"Chloe?" Jace knocks "Open the door" I didn't reply. I heard him walk away
that made me cry even more because now I was lying to him and hiding secrets, first wrong thing to do in a relationship that's walking on egg shells.
"Chloe, baby. Please. Open the door" he begs
"No" I reply, in a squeaky voice
"Chloe I'm gonna break down the door" he starts
"No Jace, please" I plead
"Alright" He huffs, and walks away. Only the come back a minute later to un-jam the lock and walks in.
"Jace get out!" I shout as he sits next to me
"Shh, calm down" he says wrapping his arm around me
"No, don't touch me!" I shout
"Something happened that your not telling me about" he says, in frustration
"Because I can't tell you" I respond
"You know you can tell me anything" he sighs "Did someone say something to you?"
"No" I mumble
"Chloe, you gotta tell me so we can fix it. Your hiding something from me" he reminds me
"I know. I'm.. scared to tell you" I huff
"Why would you be scared to tell me?" he asks
"Because I don't want you to leave me!" I shout
"Chloe!" he shouts "I am not leaving you, under any circumstances. Will you stop that talk? please!"
"Whatever" I reply
"Tell me what happened" he asks again, sighing
I just cried harder again, and he wrapped his arms around me and pulled me close to him and kissed my forehead. after a few minutes of this position, I huff.
"Jace?" I mumble
"Hm" he hums
"I'm pregnant with your baby, again"
