Elphie Returns

Always

Unfortunately, all good things come to an end, and this will be ending soon. If you read my other stories, that is why i haven't updated them. I am trying to finish this one. Don't worry, this isn't the last chapter. Though *pause for dramatic effect* The end is near.

Elphaba and Nick sat in the restaurant, staring into each other's eyes. Yes, cheesy, i know, but hey, why not?
"We should get going," Nick whispered.
"Y-Yeah," Elphaba stuttered.
They both stood to leave.
"Wait, Elphaba, I...I," Nick stumbled.
Then, giving up words, he pulled Elphaba close and kissed her.
And by kiss, i do not mean they made out. Just one small kiss. Short and sweet. It's only the first date. Unless you count fighting in a war a date.
When they pulled apart, Elphaba looked shocked.
"I-I'm sorry," Nick whispered. "Shoot. Um, i'm an idiot."
"No, Nick, i'm sorry. It's not you, it's me. Look at me. I have nothing to give you. Besides, i can't make a committment. Fiyero took that ability from me," Elphaba murmered.
"Don't worry. I'll be here for you."
"Always?"
"Always."
With that, Nick pulled Elphaba in for another kiss.

The pair was silent in the car, thinking about everything that had happened.
"Nick, I-I," Elphaba began.
"Yes?"
"I love you. I know it's so soon to say on the first date, but, i can't help it. I love you."
"I love you, too. Fiyero never deserved someone as amazing as you. I will be there for you no matter what. And if, for some strange reason, we aren't right for each other, i hope we can still be friends."
"I hope so, too."
They got out of the car, for they had arrived at their destination.
"Should i go in?" Nick asked.
"Well, considering Boq's car is here, yes. I can only imagine what my father is doing."
"Okay."
They walked up the steps and to the door. Before going in, Nick gave Elphaba a small peck on the lips.
They opened the door to find Frex asking Boq a disturbing question.
"OH MY OZ DAD!!" Elphaba yelled, walking into the room.
