"Miss Elphaba Thropp. You have been charged with harming innocent monkeys by giving them wings, killing multiple members of the Gale Force, turning Boq into a tin man, running from the police, and keep Dorothy and her team hostage. How do you plead?"
"Guilty for running from the police, turning Boq into tin man in order to save his LIFE, and giving the monkeys wings under the wizard's command. However, i do not plead guilty to killing the Gale Force. That was Madame Morrible. I also did not hold Dorothy hostage, she was free to leave. She was never planning on killing her, she wanted to apologize for Nessa's death."
Gasps exploded from the crowd.
"Lies!" People yelled. "Sentence her to death!"
"Elphaba Thropp," the judge began. "I sentence you to-"
"Wait, where are the jury, where are the lawyers? This isn't a fair trial!" A voice called from the other end of the crowd.
Everyone turned their heads in shock.
"It's Glinda!" People whispered.
"Why is she defending that witch?"
"Miss Glinda, this is none of your concern," the judge said.
"As ruler of Oz i say it is. And, as ruler of Oz, i command you to give Elphaba a real trial!" Glinda defended.
More gasps.
"But she has no lawyer!"
"I'll be her lawyer." Glinda said determindly.
More gasps still.
Elphaba looked down, slightly embarassed, slightly confused.
"Glinda, why are you defending her?" A voice called from the gathering Ozians.
"Because she is my friend. My best friend." Glinda argued.
And now was the biggest amount of gasps.
