I watch the people sit around a table, they all laugh and talk, one of the boys has his arm draped around the girl with white hair, I think they called her Stella. I listen to their conversation hoping for all their names. Shadow was the little girl, and the boy with red eyes was Drake. The other boy was named Raven, I suppose their twins because they look the same. Drake was eating doughnuts like a pig, it was pretty gross, but he was cute.
They seemed to all get along, I felt like the odd one out, I was ignored, but I didn't mind, I enjoyed just listening. I look up at the roof and smile weakly. Suddenly I felt instantaneously dehydrated and darkness envelopes me. As I gasp for air I can hear everyone around me. My body gets picked up and running water echoes through my ears.
They lay me in what I guessed was a tub, the water rushes around my body and my eyes open. I sit up and take a deep breath. I shove my head under the water then come back up.
"Are you okay?" Stella's gasps.
"I think so, thank you for saving me, but how did you know to put me in water?" I ask. She rubs the back of her neck.
"Well I didn't, Drake actually suggested it because you said you lived in the water." She smiles towards Drake.
My heart skips a beat and I look at the boy, he had a stupid grin on his face. I smile back at him and I step out of the tub, my body drips water everywhere.
"Oh my goodness! I'm so sorry! I'll clean it up!" I exclaim wildly as I see the puddle below me.
"It's fine, I'll get it, why don't you go lay down for a bit?" Stella laughed. I nod slightly and Drake wraps a towel around me.
"I'll get her some clothes, she looks about Stella's size." Raven tells Drake.
He walks off. Shortly after he returns with shorts and a tank top for me. As everyone leaves I quickly change out of my soaked clothes and put on the ones Raven got me. They were soft and warm, it felt lovely. I hurry out the bathroom to the living room. Drake lays on the couch and I walk up to him.
"Where do I sleep?" I ask. His red eyes land om me and a warm smile appears on his face.
"You can sleep in my bed, it's upstairs. Want me to show you?" He suggests.
I nod and follow him upstairs. When we reach a closed door he pushes it open looking into the room painfully.
"Are you okay?" I ask with a kind tone. I lay my hand on his shoulder.
"Yeah, I'm fine." He chokes out, he leaves me standing alone at the door to the room.
I walk in closing the room off. His room seemed empty, all it had was a bed and a dresser. I tip toe over to the bed and lay in it. I pull the blanket over my head and quickly fall asleep. A light explodes throughout the room and I open my eyes.
Angel stands there watching me angrily.
"Dear Siren, you're staying in a house of demons, how could they not see you're a spirit?" He chuckles.
"I'm good at hiding my true identity." I sigh.
"How is Stella?" He asks with love.
"Well what I've seen she seems fine, although I didn't know the Stella I was with was that Stella." I whisper. He nods.
"Is she still with Raven?" Angel asks with hope.
"I'm afraid so my king, one day she will become you're queen, and when she does she'll be yours forever." I smile.
"Good." He grins.
"I like her though, I like them all actually, their all so sweet." I smile at the roof.
"You can't grow attached to them though, you're a spy, remember?" He explains.
"Of course m'lord." I sigh.
The door suddenly opens, little Shadow watches Angel and I.
"Traitor!"
