Lye and I made it back into our dorm just as Aizawa did another check on everyone. "Did you enjoy your walk baby boy?" I asked as I petted my cat and scratched behind his ear gently. Lye purred and rubbed against me before he took off to lie down in his bed. Once he was snuggled up I went over and tucked him in his blanket then went to my desk and got to work.
No matter what I did it would give him clues even if I found a quirk name that would suffice with the quirk I said I had the rest of the info could and probably would give it away. As a vigilante, he knew me as true to my word and honest. As Izuku... he didn't know me at all but he wanted to. Would he really run if I told him my quirk? I asked myself, pausing as I was about to edit the file that belonged to the old me. The me that was a naive kid with hopes and dreams... The me before my mom was killed.
"Stupid Katsuki, I always tell him I look up to him so why is he such a jerk?" I asked myself as I walked home from school. The day had been better than most days since most of the time I left covered in new bruises, bandages, and burns. The day had been too good, I had made note of that in my notebook. Letting out a sigh I grabbed out my key for my home and walked inside closing the door behind me. "Mom! I'm home!" I called out.
Nothing.
"Mom?" I heard a low chuckle and then I heard sirens in the distance, something that made my anxiety inexplicably spike. "MOM?!" I called out before running through the house, my second and last room I'd ever see was the kitchen. (GORE!!! SKIP TO THE NEXT PARAGRAPH IF YOU DON'T LIKE GORE!!) It held her bloodied and mulled body limp on the floor. Her face was caved in and disfigured and she had many visible lacerations on her chest and stomach. So much so that her organs showed and made for a horrific scene.
I screamed and ran over to her holding her in my arms. Even though it was clear that she was dead I couldn't help gently shake her and ask her to wake up. She was cooling down and her blood was spilling onto me. "Mom, please! Please wake up! Don't do this! Please!" The sirens were getting louder and I could hear the faint knocking sound at our front door. "Mom please... I'll do better... I promise..." I hugged her close to me even though all it did was make more of a mess.
I know I shouldn't have touched her or even entered this room once I saw her, I have contaminated the scene and now if they didn't find anything they would blame it on me. "Mom I'll find who did this to you. I'll make them regret it I promise." I told her as I laid her down with tears spilling from my eyes then rushed to change quickly and chant a spell to turn me invisible. As soon as I finished the door was kicked in and police marched in.
"Shit! Send for reinforcements and crime techs, we have a body." One of them said into their walkie-talkies. "Hey, look for the kid." The same man ordered his partner.
I watched as they looked around for anyone else and when they came up with nothing they spoke briefly before waiting outside for crime techs and analysts to arrive. "We couldn't find the kid on our sweep through but we found some bloodied clothing in what we assume was his room. The lady is in the kitchen, we'll leave ya to do your job and we'll keep the place under lock and key."
I sat there and watched them as they worked. A few of them went into my room and I noticed them come back out with my school uniform in an evidence bag. My shoes had left messy blood prints all the way to my room where I wiped the blood off on the clothing after changing. After they had finished inspecting my mom's corpse they lifted her into a body bag as Auntie Mitsuki pushed through the idiot officers and into the house.
"Where is Izuku?! Please someone has to know where he is?! Inko!" She screamed as she saw my mom's face before the bag was zipped. "Oh god! Tell me Izuku is okay!"
