"I just want to know what spell you used to do this?" Shota asked as he looked at the papers with his mouth gaping.
"If you must know the first spell I read gave me the ability to remember everything I see almost to a T. It's the only spell I can't seem to undo nor want to undo," I answered bleakly as I face him with a resting bitch face.
"Izu I know this is super off-topic from what we are talking about but, what are those black markings on your neck? I noticed them yesterday and as far as I can remember they weren't there when you started going here." Momo asked curiously, causing Shota to look at my neck and raise his eyebrow.
"Yeah so funny story, one of the more recent spells I learned left these. Believe it or not, it's not a tattoo, I don't know what they are. I tried to scrub them off last night and then tried to do a reversal spell as well as a canceling spell. The more I tried to cast it away it grew so I just stopped and opted for covering it with tattoo concealer."
"What exactly does that spell do?" Shota asked completely forgetting about the test I just aced.
"No clue yet. Now and then I get a spell like this one usually before something bad happens. The last time I got one and couldn't figure out what it was for, my arm got cut off. Figuring I'd take a chance I cast the spell my arm grew back but most of my nerves are shot." I said before realizing just what I just said.
"I'm sorry?! Did you just say you got your arm fucking cut off?!" Shota questioned as he went rigid. "By who and how?!"
"I can't fuckin' remember. It happened years ago and it was solely on me, what's done is done so it can't be changed." I told them agitated with myself. I knew what happened and who had done it as it often replayed while I slept. I had looked down by now and looked solely at the hand that belonged to the arm I had lost. I was scared to see what this new spell would bring and whatever it was I had a feeling that losing my arm would be the least of my worries.
Before I could start to bury myself into the hole I was digging I was wrapped in a hug from one of the two standings in my room. "I'm so sorry Izu... I can't imagine how painful it was for you. If you ever want to talk about it I'll gladly listen okay?" Momo's soft voice replied in a quiet voice so Shota wouldn't hear.
"I'm okay Momo, thank you though. Stepping back a bit and back to what we were talking about Shota do we pass?" I asked trying to get the subject off of my past.
"Yes, but we'll talk about it more later alright? I'll let you two finish up your planning then it's off to bed for you both." Shota said as he looked at me with a gleam of concern and curiosity in his eyes.
"Alrighty, thank you, Shota. Have a good night." I told the tired man before he nodded to me and then left. After a few seconds of it just being me and Momo, she sat back and looked at me with worry. "I'm okay Momo. I don't remember the pain nor how it happened. Casting the spell alone took a lot of energy out of me but I've been fine since then."
"Still... You said that the nerves in your arm are shot right? With the knowledge out there maybe we can find a way to re-wire your arm." I smiled and shook my head at Mom's idea.
"Momo even if I could my arm is like that of a prosthetic. It can break, get shattered, burned, get crushed and I wouldn't feel it but I would still need to fix it in a sense. Over the years I've gotten used to it so it doesn't bother me. My brain gives me the false sense that I can still feel whatever is touching my arm through unconscious memory same this with pain but it isn't real. Now enough about me, let's figure out a few more things for Yuuna alright?"
With that, I showed her the drawing I had of the mobile and asked if there was anything she wanted to be added or taken away.
