Afraid to be alone
So you become friends with everyone
Afraid of being yourself
So you distance yourself from everyone
Afraid to not be liked
So you portray what others like most
Afraid to show your emotions
So you front to everyone
Afraid of your reflection
So you eat little and turn all the mirrors around
Afraid of commitment
So you pull away when you get close
Afraid of rejection
So you take back and hide your feelings
Afraid of death
So you hurt yourself instead
Afraid of silence
So you stay chaotic and loud
Afraid of putting yourself out there
So you stay hidden in the crowd
Afraid of your own life
So you create one in your books
Afraid of change
So you bottle up your emotions and ignore what your heart says
Afraid of the truth
So you run from it
Afraid of your blood
So you make family out of others
Afraid of reality
So you dream, write, draw, and create a fantastical world that you can escape to whenever you want
Afraid of the voices
So you block them out with books and writing
Afraid to lose those you hold dear
So you push them away so "it hurts less"
Afraid of our insecurities
So we fire shots at each other's
