Chapter - 5 The Truth( part 1)

Mikael's POV

It's been a week since Damon told me how he felt. At that time I didn't have an answer to his question, he just suddenly proposed me at random. Well it's was a bit relieving that he liked me back but the thought that I was not a human haunted me. I was flustered, my thoughts were a mess, Skoll on the other hand unlike normal wolves was happy and excited. Normally no wolf would allow his/her human to be with someone else other than their mate, on top of it they would always try to make their human forms to find their mate but Skoll was behaving in a total different manner. I was shocked when he told me that he don't have a problem with us living in the human world without our mate for rest of our lives but also relieved that he was not blaming me for our condition.

As my lips were sealed Damon didn't force me to answer his question at the spot he just said that he would wait for me even if it would take our whole lives. I don't know what to do. My mind goes blank the moment I think about Damon, I mean I do like him but I try to wonder his reaction when he knows that I am not human I am a werewolf. I know that it is not easy to live with someone like me . Should I tell him the truth? But what if he rejects me then? What if he fear me? What if he hate me? So many what ifs?

"Well I think we should try it." Skoll said.

"You really think that"i asked him in disbelief.

" You know that I am not a normal wolf spirit, and you feel it too. I don't behave like an omega, I am a dominant wolf spirit. " He explained.

" Fine, but are you sure that you don't want to have your mate? "I asked him.

" I am 100 %sure about that, and I want you to have a happy and content life please just this once listen to my advice and give Damon a chance. If he rejects us then we go back to how our lives were and he misses the chance of having a special person like you. "He said nonchalantly.
" Thanks for the reassurance" Saying this I immediately called Damon.

Burrr, burrr........ Burrr, burrr......... "Hello" He picked up the call and answered.

"Hey Damon " I said. He went silent for 5 seconds and then kind of shouted in my ear....
"MIKAEL...... Is.... Is that really you? " He asked.

"Yes it's me and... and I wanted to talk to to you about that. " I said. There was silence once again.

"Um... Damon are you still there... Hello? " I spoke.

"Yeah I'm.. I'm there sorry for spacing out,.... I.... I was just flustered and nervous I guess" He spoke in a shaking voice. I could feel the nervousness in his voice.

"Sooo...... Would you like to meet me . There is something about me that you should know before getting too deep into this.So I wanted to meet you alone."I said

" Sure sure that will be perfect.... Where do you want us to meet tell I will immediately make the reservations"he said still sounding flustered and nervous.

"No need for any reservations, just meet at Devil's Canyon Peak in the Angeles National Forest tomorrow evening at 8 pm. I'll meet you there. " I told the place and time.
"Ok... But why there?. He asked.

" You'll know everything tomorrow just meet me there ok? "I replied.

" Ok, I promise. "He said.

" Bye then. See ya tomorrow. " I greeted bye.

"Yeah bye and good night . " He said.

"Night." I wished him back and hanged up the phone.

It was exactly 8pm right now and I have to meet him and tell him about me exactly after 24 hrs .
Vanessa was out today because of some work and Alicia was having a night stay at friend's place. So I was alone today. I made myself some bacon and French dipped sandwiches to fill my stomach. After having dinner I went to sleep.

Waking up at usual 4 am I did my morning routine, my training and especially did yoga. Today I needed the calmness and peacefulness that it brought me to open up to Damon with my true identity. Vanessa came back and I told her about my decision and she gave the exact same advise as that if Skoll. She knew us too well fir our good.

I spent my day practicing role in the new Project The First. According to Joe I am a very versatile actor. I can do almost every type of role, in fact my debut role was that of a villain and the audience liked me all the more. I liked acting, singing and dancing. It helps me to escape from my reality and be someone else , my career makes me feel belonged abd needed. I liked my job too much. After a whole day of practicing at 6:30 pm I got up and got changed. At approx 7:15 pm I was in my car and was starting it to go to the Devil's Canyon peak.

At about 7:50 I stopped the car at the mainroad at the outskirts of the forest and then moved into the forest by foot. I was moving really fast, almost running.As I moved more into the forest, I smelled Damon just 5 kms ahead. With my werewolf speed I was in front of him in mere 10 min. The moment I emerged out of the trees into the clearing near the Peak I saw him looking towards the peak facing me sidewards. I especially told him to come today because it's a full moon tonight. Full moon would enhance my transformation from human to wolf and my abilities as a wolf.

He doesn't seem to have notice me, he looked like he was thinking something very hard.

"Hey Damon" I called out.
He turned towards me, our eyes locked on each other, there seem to have happened something to our surroundings, when I looked at him the surrounding faded with only him in focus. I was wondering if this was normal or not for someone like me. He looked handsome, so handsome. Even though he was not wearing his perfect business clothes but the darke blue shirt with light coloured pants made him look like a male lead from a love novel. I smacked myself on the inside to know what my mind was thinking.

"Hi Mikael, how are you? " His question pulled me out of my trans. I blinked my eyes a few times and then nodded at his question indicating that I was ok.
"What is it that you want to say to me? " He asked.
"Yes.... Please follow me. " I said. He nodded and then followed me. Devil Canyon peak is the name of site with two hills. And exactly between those hills was a beautiful lake house with a small garden. Coming back to this place brings backs many memories and I shed one or two tears.
"Hey what happened Mikael? " He asked holding my hand in his with a voice filled with concern.
Not wanting to beat around the bush I bluntly said " I am a werewolf . "
