Chapter - 22 Hati

Mikael's POV

I humned at Maria's words. However non- parental my mother have been, she is pitiful.

"Mika I want you to come with us at that celebration. Please. " Maria said. I looked deep in her her just to guess why she was asking me to do so.
"Will you be coming with us? " I asked.
"Yes I will be there with you , I promise. " She said.
"But I still want to go on with the renunciation with the pack. " I said firmly.
"Then again we will discussing this after tomorrow's celebration. "Everyone was silent for the moment, their fixed on me.
" Why do you want to? "Patricia asked. I looked at her, her face carrying the expression of sadness and hoplessness.
" I can't stand the company of werewolves. I hate them. They disgust me. "I said and Patricia's face now revealed utter shock just like others.
"After the renunciation I will not have any relationship with the pack or it leaders, but we all can start a fresh as siblings if you want to. Mr. Wulfric exiled me for being an omega. I accepted the change of fate. But now after 12 years when I have a peaceful life there, I won't be taking in this change. I will go back with Alicia after the celebration. If you want you can come to visit. But after what happened the past 12 years I have no more energy to stay in a place which haunts me, to stay with people that never accepted me. " I explained.
"But of course you all will be my brothers and sisters if you'll have me as I am. "I told them.
" Fine Mika, that you do what you feel is right."Maria assured me.
"Now you Jamie. " She turned to look at James wha was sitting on the couch across the bed.
"Yes Grandma. " He replied.
"Did you decide what you want to do about your love triangle situation? " She said with a smirk and wigling her brows. This question mede me recall Maria 's open behavior.
"I.... I don't know what to do. " He said pinching his nose bridge. Alicia frowned but recovered her expression soon.
"Let me give some advice, that daughter of the beta family Maya, she is not worth it. Boy you are 21 this year, old enough to take your own decisions, so make the right one. And Maya is just passing her time with you. I bet if the roles are reversed she would run to her mate leaving you stranded. " Maria told him.
"Now off you go, it's late. You'll have get up early tomorrow. " She said as she shoved us all out of her room. I chuckled at her behavior. The  things that I will miss about this place, Maria is one of them. We all went to our respective rooms to have a good night sleep.

Now that I am in the bed with comfortable clothes and a full relaxed mind I recalled every detail that I knew about The Blessed Moon Pack. The rulling family of that pack is The Fenrirs. Their ancestors were the ones that found the first pack of the world. So as a matter of factly their pack is oldest and most respected one in the werewolf society. All the other packs have sworn infinite allegiance to that pack. The reason they are considered a royal family is that  our wolf deity The Hati who was the first werewolf is rumored to be the wolf spirit of the Alphas in this pack. It says that every fourth generation is born with Hati as their wolf spirit with them.

What do we say about Hati?  It is said that Hati the first son of Fenrir was a pure believer of the Moon Goddess. He was loyal to her with his soul. But only till he met the mystical white werewolf who could devour the sun. Hati fell in love with that white werewolf , so he betrayed and left the heaven of the Moon Goddess. As a punishment for his betrayal he was cursed to walk the mortal plain, the earth till the end of time which he received without any regret in his heart. Hati's lover the white wolf was furious at the Moon Goddess for seperating  them and cursed her in return to loose all her brightness  and become a ball of emptiness once every month, before burning it's soul into nothing and transfering most of it's powers to the now Mortal Hati so that his curse could become a blessing. The pain of not being with the one you love reduced the White wolf that would devour the sun into nothing.

Seeing the sacrifices Hati and the white wolf made for each other The Moon Goddess realised her mistake and their power of love. There standing in her heaven with the ashes of the white wolf in her hands she then blessed both Hati and his lover to unite again in the mortal realm to never be separated again. She then blessed the werewolves with the mate bond, so that once united the lovers may never be separated to honor Hati and his lover.

So it is said that Hati taking rebirths again and again is only to find his lover the white wolf.
"Interesting story. " Skoll said.
"Yes it is interesting.......... But aren't we also a white wolf? " I asked him.
"Don't you dare get any ideas Mikael. So what if we are a white wolf ,I am sure there are many other white wolves just like us. So sleep. We have to wake up and get ready for everything. " Skoll replied.

And so i went to sleep.

Skoll's POV

Our minds are connected. What he thinks, the same thoughts comes to me too and what I think, goes to him. Our connection only breaks when one of us is sleeping. It's like one of the two of us shuts themself down. The story about Hati that he recalled felt so familiar as if I lived it. But how? I only remember my name from my past life. Now Mika tells a story about a wolf that could devour sun. I am the devourer if the sun. Everytime I try to remember, the part that I could is burning and fire everywhere around me. What if  I am actually the white wolf in the story?
