Alright everything was going to be absolutely fine as long as I stayed right here for the next couple of hours. There was nothing that could go possibly wrong. I mean mother was walking around the party desperately trying to find me yet I was pretty sure that she would not be able to find me because I was hidden pretty good even if I say so myself. Why am I even here? The Madrigals throw a party? Alright, fine but I rather stay in my bedroom to read a good book but no, here I am now against my will to "socialize" but as you may notice the only one I am socialising with is the plant I was hiding behind. Not that he wasn't great company. He at least didn't question why I wasn't married yet or didn't have children. I mean why is it such a surprise? Alright time is ticking by, life goes on but does that mean I should go marry the first man I see?! In my opinion... Not.
I mean love does not happen like that. Love at first sight? That's just bullshit. There does not exist something that ridiculous! A grunt left my lips when someone bumped against me as I turned around to face the person who almost pushed me from behind my hiding spot to find a man stooping next to me, peeking over the plant for a moment to quickly duck behind it. "Excuse me?!"I hissed in a whisper, nudging the man in his side as his attention now went to me. "Hello."He said rather awkwardly, looking back away. "I don't know if you noticed but I was here first."I said, poking his side again to make him look at me once again as his eyes scanned me for a moment before leaving me again. "And now I'm hiding here."He said as if it was that simple. "Uhm...No."I said back with a shake of my head as I pushed him trying to get him from behind my hiding spot as he fell on his butt, glaring at me for a moment. "Brunito!"A woman called out as the man quickly crawled back behind the plant almost pushing me now out of my hiding spot. "Y/N!"Mother yelled loudly as it was my turn to crawl more behind the plant, almost ending on the man's lap because of that. "Good evening, Alma."Mother said as I pushed the man. "Look over it and tell me what you see."I hissed, gesturing with my head up. "Why do I have to do it?"He asked back in a whisper. "Because I was here first."I whispered back, nudging him with my elbow as he slapped my arm away. "Fine."He muttered, moving some leafs so he could look through it as a small yelp left his lips causing me to cover his mouth straight away when he pulled back. "Are you trying to get us caught!"I hissed angry with a glare. "Than don't let me peek out!"He hissed back, pushing my hand away. "If you didn't come here, you didn't have to. There are a lot more of spots to hide."I threw back. "Why don't you go find yourself another spot than?"He asked with a raised eyebrow. "Because I was here first. So it is my given right to hide here...Alone."I answered with crossed arms. "Well, I live here so I have more the right to hide here."He threw back with a smug look as I narrowed my eyes at him wanting to say something back before I realized what he had actually said. "You live here?"I asked in a whisper confused. "Yeah..."He answered, playing with the hem of his green ruana. "Why on earth are you hiding than?"I asked curious as he looked from behind the plant for a moment before he nudged my side as I looked from behind it to. "Because that there is my mother and she desperately wants me to get married."He answered, gesturing towards Alma who was talking to...
"Why is she talking to my mother?!"I asked in a hiss, cursing under my breath as I tried to think of any reason. "Why are you hiding?"He asked curious, studying me as I was overthinking the whole situation probably. "Because my mother dragged me here in hope to find my future esposo."I answered, peeking again from behind the plant. "She is still talking to her."I whispered, biting my bottom lip. "Well as long as they are talking they are not looking around for us or someone we could marry."He said with a chuckle. "I mean they can't make us marry each..."He started, stopping his sentence as I stared at him in schock. What if they were talking about me marrying him?! "Mierda!"I hissed, wanting to crawl from behind it as he quickly grabbed me, stopping me from giving us away. "Are you crazy? Maybe they are not talking about that. I'm pretty sure your mother does not want you to marry someone like me."He said, gesturing at himself. "My mother does not care about who the person is I would marry as long as I will marry him."I said back before frowning slightly. "Just for your information, I don't see what could be wrong with marrying you."I added, realizing too late what I had said as I blushed furiously at that, looking away from him immediately. "Oh there is so much wrong with marrying me."He muttered. "The townspeople will possibly hate you and talk about you whenever you go to the market. I am bad luck, I make bad things happen..."He explained, stroking over his ruana. "You are Bruno?"I asked in a whisper as he looked up at that. "I... Bye."He said, crawling away as he quickly dissapeared down a corridor as I watched after him. So, that was Bruno Madrigal...
"Y/N, why are you sitting on the floor?"Mother asked as she suddenly stood next to me, looking down at me with a raised eyebrow. "I wanted to...uhm...sit with Casita?"I said unsure, patting the floor as Casita moved some tiles at that. "We're becoming great friends."I added with a chuckle, forcing a smile on my face. "You are?"She asked skeptical as I nodded my head. "Yeah, we are really bonding over feeling low...to the ground."I answered, crawling up. "But oh, I think I'm gonna go. Tomorrow will be a long day!"
