Ace saved Multicolor Pen's number in their phone for future reference. "I still don't get why we're looking for a 'special someone', and who are they?" Multicolor Pen was confused in many different ways. "Listen. I know this seems strange, but it'll make sense once you meet the others. Go back home now, I saved your number for texting and you probably have people to come back to. Good day now, bye." Ace shut the door on him. He called a taxi home since he knew he was far from his apartment. During the drive, he pondered what Ace had said. "The others? What did Ace mean by that? Is there some sort of secret mission that I'm not aware of?"
Once he was back home, he got to his desk and started thinking. He stared at the off-white walls and band posters, wondering what everything meant. However, he struggled to think of a conclusion and gave up. He looked at his phone and saw a text from Ace. "Here's my apartment name, by the way, Sunlight Apartment Complex. Come over every once in a while so meetings can take place." The last part made him more interested, but he just shook it off and looked at memes instead.
The next day, he went over to Ace's place for the meeting. "Meet the team," they introduced, "this is who you'll be joining. I understand that you've another family of sorts, so I won't have you full-time. Just come over whenever I tell you to. Anyway, this is Notepad, ID, Protractor, and Speaker. We're a team trying to find the one who hurt our and Jade's hometown so many years ago." Multicolor Pen was formally added to the group with a handshake, and he sat down at the table with the others. "So anyway, a few years back, someone came into our town and caused much harm. Luckily for us, they didn't get too far before authorities came to take them away, but they did enough to damage the town permanently in a few ways. However, as there's been news that they escaped, some people from the town, a.k.a us, have since come together to find who committed such a crime. We never got to see them, and the newsletter didn't have a clear photo. We only have their name, Sticker, and a sticker could look like anything, so we have to find the clues as if we're detectives in a true-crime series. Which, we are in a way, but that's beside the point. The point is that we're going to find this person if it's the last thing we do together. You with us?" Multicolor Pen was still a bit confused but nodded in agreement. The meeting concluded, and he went back home.
Multicolor Pen tried researching who this 'Sticker' was, but alas, he found not a single clue. "I guess Ace was right," he thought. "We will have to find it out via clues." He looked at his clock, it was only 2 in the afternoon. He went down to the lounge, and had a conversation with Vinyl, even if neither of them was exactly the best at socializing. "So today I had some meeting, and we're finding a criminal. I'm not sure why I'm telling you this, but I am." ". . . Okay? I'm not sure how to respond." Then the dreaded awkward silence came, until Ring came in to mess around. "Ring, DON'T YOU DARE TRY DOING THAT EVER AGAIN. You know you're not allowed to do that!" Medal was chasing him around the building and eventually got him. "Gotcha! Don't do that again or I'm having Sign do this instead. You know how tall he is." That got Ring intimidated, and he just ran to his room. "Of course, he'd do that." Medal was glad that worked. Multicolor Pen and Vinyl were there, confused as to what Ring had done that was so bad, but they parted ways since nothing was happening.
