Multicolor Pen was walking around listening to his favorite playlist when it suddenly became empty. There were buildings, but nobody in them. It looked abandoned and old, and there was barely any color, if at all. He felt that it was once a bustling city, full of people and activities. His imaginative mind thought of a street band playing music while people- or in this case, objects- walked around carrying out their usual business. The thought reminded him of his old home in the human realm, which was similar to what he was imagining. The floor tiles were cracked, and the now dreary-looking paint was peeling a bit. He could see inside some stores, and there was dust and cobwebs. He knew it was a bad idea, but he walked further to take a closer look. Contrary to what he thought, someone else was in there.
"Welcome to my shop," they whispered with a soft smile. "I'm Jade, the owner. Would you like to have a look at any of my little trinkets?" Multicolor Pen didn't know what was happening. "Yes? No? What is this place?" "This is nothing much, just a little gift shop. Most others had left a while ago for unknown reasons, I'm one of the few people who stayed. If you stay around, you might notice that the people are nice here. It's peaceful, and the vintage quality of our town has its nice little charm to it. Anyway, would you like to see what I have in store? You might want a souvenir to take home, since I can tell you're new here." He walked around the small store, and bought a small figure to put on his desk at home. "Thank you for buying, every cent helps!"
Once he came back home, he ended up noticing a text from Medal. It read "Where have you been? It's been a while since you left." He also took a look at the pedometer on his phone, and it turns out he had walked a bit more than he intended. "3 kilometers? I only meant to walk a small way, guess I got distracted." He went upstairs to his room, and went to sleep. However, he didn't realize what was going to happen the next morning.
He woke up in another place, an old apartment, and felt strange. "Wake up. I know you know me." He was very confused, having both just woken up and being in a new place. Their voice and tone sounded familiar, he vaguely remembered it from his human life. "Who are you?" "I told you, you know me." "No, I don't." "Fine. Recognize the name Ace?" That name sparked something in his mind, and he instantly remembered. "I remember that name, actually. Weren't you that guy who kept spamming my DM's about my commissions?" He asked, even though he already knew the answer."Right on the bullseye! Listen. I know this'll sound strange, but I'm on a mission to find a specific someone. Jade told me about their new guest, and I saw the opportunity to get you here. You with me?" "Of course not! I have a community to be with, don't try to rope me into this!" Ace managed to convince him to help, and now they had one mission; to find the 'specific someone'. Multicolor Pen didn't know what they were talking about, but joined anyway.
