"Ring, WHAT DID YOU DO TO MY BOOK COLLECTION?!" Orchid held up one of her books, scribbled all over. "Those were my favorite ones! Now I'm gonna have to buy new copies." Medal stepped in, as always. "Ring, I knew you were a menace to society, but seriously? Damaging other people's prized possessions? You've hit a new low, young man. I'm taking your phone for the rest of the week." Orchid was devastated at what he had done, since she was a bit of a bookworm. Ring already knew he was in big trouble, but responded sarcastically, as always. "Oh boo hoo, I'm gonna get punished! Just because I lost my phone doesn't mean I can't do my thing!" "Oh, it's more than that. If I find you doing something bad one more time today, you have to pay for any replacement books Orchid hasn't already bought." That scared Ring, since he didn't have any work experience. "So now you're actually afraid, huh? I'll take note of that real quick."
Multicolor Pen was downstairs, and overheard the conversation. He thought to himself, "Oh, so that's what happened yesterday. None of my business, oh well." Then, he got a text from Ace. "GET OVER HERE REAL QUICK!!! We have more clues!" He ran over to their apartment, and was exhausted by the time he got there. "W-what's the news?" "We found that he's somewhere around downtown Brightbell, so you know what that means!" "What does that mean?" ID asked. "It means we're going on a-" and everyone shouted "ROAD TRIP!" They all got in Ace's van, and drove to downtown Brightbell. The drive was no longer than 30 minutes, so it was quick by 'road trip' standards. They used the article that Ace found to search for a better location. "It says here that he was spotted around that block." "Let's go there!" "I was going to say that, ID." They ran to the block, looking for the criminal while staying cautious and vigilant. "I think that's them!" "No, Notepad, they're blue. Sticker looked yellow in the blurry photo." They kept searching, and although they didn't find Sticker himself, what they did find was a letter left on the wall by him. It read "Ace, here's a little clue for you. Look where it's all yellow and blue. -Your friendly ally, Melody" in sloppy handwriting. "It seems that he could be in or around that building! Not sure how he'd be allowed there, but it doesn't hurt to check!" "Good point, Protractor. Let's go!" They ran into the hotel, and asked the receptionist a question. "Do you happen to have seen a yellow guy named Sticker in here? We're looking for him." "Let me check the log, one sec," the receptionist told. "Yes, we do have someone named Sticker. No information on looks, but he's in room 209." "Thanks!" They went up to room 209, and strategized for a moment. "Multi, you knock for us. You're the newest one, so he probably won't recognize you." He knocked on the door nervously, and to their surprise, it was indeed the (yellow) Sticker! Ace, Protractor, ID, and Notepad ran away quickly, and Multicolor Pen asked him to follow. Sticker was thankfully gullible enough to agree, and was caught. "We knew you were around here!" Ace peeled off the paper blocking the adhesive, and stuck him to the file he carried for note-taking. "Gotcha! We'll have the authorities deal with you, I'm not gonna do this." They drove to the local police station, and Sticker was arrested since the authorities recognized him. "So long, Sticker. Glad you were finally caught!"
Multicolor Pen knew the case was over, but he still wanted to keep in touch with Ace and friends, so he invited them to his apartment. "It's not old or shabby, unlike your old place, so I think you guys would like it here!" They agreed, and once Sign dealt with all the form stuff and adding them to the system on file, they were set to stay there. "I haven't been with you much, and now we can keep being with each other! You guys do your crime stuff, and I can introduce you to the others! Not sure what I could do with the crime stuff, I guess I'll learn from you guys."
