What would happen to that one bud,
That refuses to bloom?
After all the care the old man took,
His garden lush green due to his love,
He specially takes care of this one rose plant,
Thinking it's his only treasure of forever.
He thinks of his late wife,
As he tends the grass and maintains the leaves,
Loses himself in the scent of wet earth,
And dreams of the day the rose will bloom.
He thinks his efforts will pay,
But every part of this hope is a game of fate,
The beauty he awaits and pleasure he wants to feel,
Everything depends on someone or something else,
So what would happen to that one bud,
If it refuses to bloom?
