The park behind the school,
The memories now strangers,
Everything about you and these memories,
It felt like home. Home I want to return to.
Those petty fights,
And those unique comebacks,
People telling us we were perfect,
Made me feel all the butterflies.
It felt warm that time,
The thoughts of living that time lures me,
Too deep in the past, stories now feeling unknown,
Somehow still they make me feel like I'm home.
Your smiling face,
Those squinted little eyes when you laugh,
And I will be looking at you as you are the best thing in the world,
All makes me think we belong together.
