Katsuki startled himself awake from his alarm. He quickly turned it off and glanced around the semi-lit-up room. It was sunny, sunnier than he'd wish it was. He pulled his headphones out before noticing he had fallen asleep on the call with Kirishima. He furrowed his eyebrows at the screen, trying to figure out what he was even faced with. Kirishima's dorm lights were on, but no one seemed to be in the room. If anything, he had no idea where the phone even was. He flinched out of reflex as the phone was suddenly picked up. He was met with a Kirishima that had just gotten out of the shower. He felt his cheeks slight dust with pink blush while the redhead yelled a, probably, overly excited good morning.
Recently, he unplugged his headphones so he could hear him. He rubbed his eyes as he listened to Kirishima rant excitedly about his day. It wasn't the first time they'd fallen asleep on a phone call together, usually, it was Katsuki who fell asleep first.
" Did you sleep okay? You, for a guy with a resting pissy face you have a cute face when you relax," Kirishima teased, though it was a tease he often heard when waking up like this.
" Shut up," he grumbled and tossed his phone onto the bed so that the camera was covered.
He quickly got dressed after, just lazily throwing on a new uniform. He didn't have the brain cells to get as far as showering. It was rare for Kat, but he had his moments where he just couldn't bring himself to even shower or brush his teeth. Cooking was always different though. He loved to cook. It always cleared his head and woke him up.
" I'm surprised you slept so long, usually you're the one waking me up," Kirishima laughed from his side of the phone.
His laugh was so deep and genuine that he could literally hear it through the wall. He made him smile a little, not that he often did. Katsuki let out a soft breath before picking up the phone again.
" Why don't you wear a tie?" Kirishima asked, ironically tying his in the mirror.
Kiri still had his hair down and unmade. It was partly tied up so he could see okay. It made him look cute. Katsuki internally scolded himself for even thinking that. How could he think of such a thing about the one person who never yelled at him for his voice? Well, never may have been a stretch, maybe rarely was the word?
" I- uh, don't really know how to tie one," Katsuki whispered out hesitantly as he fixed his collar to where he liked it.
" Wait what-"
Katsuki just shrugged. He wondered if the redhead was even noticing how quiet he was being. Or maybe he just sounded like he really should be speaking. He didn't even know anymore. Any time he spoke at a whisper, to him, he got yelled at for being too quiet. Whenever he spoke up, he got yelled at for being too loud. It almost felt like no matter the volume he used, it was never enough to keep those around him happy.
" Well- Maybe I can teach you then! It's super easy to learn!"
" Just because I learn and know something, doesn't mean I'll do it," Katsuki playfully shot back at him.
Kirishima pressed his lips together for a moment before smiling and bursting into laughter. Kat loved it when he laughed and smiled. He had such an addicting smile and laugh, it made him want to hear more. Hell, sometimes it made him want to smile and laugh too.
" That's totally true Bakubro!"
