A foggy future

"And that brings us to where we are now." You let out a long sigh, as you had been talking for so long. You finally look up and notice that Emma is crying, looks like she'd been for awhile, and Draken had his mouth covered, a hint of fear in his eyes. This confuses you, as you follow his gaze and slightly gasp as you see Mikey. He was gripping the table, looking down. You hadn't noticed the anger emanating from him until now. You softly place your hand on his as you say "Mikey? Are you...Are you alright?" Without responding, he grabs your hand and pulls you to him, wrapping his arms around you. "M-mikey?!" You look at him as you realize he has been crying. You two stare at each other for what feels like forever, he continues to hold you and never once lets you go. Finally he places his hand on your head, as he says, "You never deserved to go through that."

You were left completely speechless, as he continues, "You went through so much abuse, and still came out as this optimistic person. You're willing to open up a part of yourself you'd rather forget because you love us." He cries a little more as he says, "I understand why you won't fight, and why you break down after you do." He pulls you back, so he can look at you. "I know you want to fight to protect us, but we'll protect you too." He caresses your check as he says, "Because we love you too. You're so special to us." You look at him, as you say, "Really..? Do you guys really mean that..?" Tears swell in your eyes as you ask that. You turn and look at Emma and Draken, who were both now crying. "(Y/N)!" Emma cries, as her and Draken get up and run over to hug you and Mikey. "Of course you mean the word to us!" Emma cries out, as Draken continues, "We really do love you (Y/n)." You start to cry even more, as you softly say, "I'm finally home."

All 3 of you hold each other as you all cry in each others arms. It was about 10 minutes later, when you all let go, still sniffling. "Man and you two are head of Toman? Swear you cry like little babies." You chuckle out, as you wipe away your tears. Mikey and Draken laugh as they say, "Hey we have a sweet spot for our only gal in Toman." They smile at you, as you take a deep breath and pull out your phone. Draken chuckles already knowing what you were doing. "Let's take a photo...to commemorate the day we all got so close." You angle the phone, as you say "And commemorate the day I joined Toman." as you snap the photo. At this point, the food had gotten cold, and you all headed to the kitchen to heat it up.

"Question." You say, causing Mikey and Draken to turn and look at you. "What's up (Y/n)?" You tap your foot as you ask, "You haven't picked my vice captain yet.. Right?" Mikey nods as he says, "If you said yes, we're going to ask who you'd want as your number 2." You think for a second, and as the microwave beeps, you say, "I got it!" Excitement can be seen on all their faces as Draken asks, "So who will be the infamous (Y/n)'s vice captain?" You smile as you say, "Takemichi Hanagaki. That's who I want as my vice captain." Everyone's eyes go wide as you say this. Mikey rubs his neck as he asks, "Why him?" You smile as you expected this response. "Easy. He isn't a part of Toman, but when push came to shove, he ran to the front line to protect the two people he cared about." You point at Mikey and Draken. "He might've been weak, but he did what he could to save you two... We just met but I know I can rely on him."

Mikey smiles at Draken. "Well if (Y/n) thinks he's suited for it, I'm all for it. What about you Kenchin?" Draken smiles as he says, "He's a bit of a crybaby, but I agree. He's reliable, and he'll balance out (Y/n)." You smile as you turn to Emma, "Can you call Hina? Get them both over here now." Emma blinks in confusion as she says, "Wait, why do you need Hina?" You smile as you say, "If I'm dragging her boyfriend into a gang, I want to ask for permission." She smiles at you, as you turn and face Mikey, and say, "Am I gonna need a uniform?" He smiles, as he responds, "Yes, I can have Mitsuya start tom-" You cut him off as you say, "Hold on, I have one condition." Mikey nods his head, and motions you to continue. "I don't want anyone to know I will be 6th division captain, until the meeting."
