Meaningful Sacrifice

You grit your teeth, knowing damn well you can't protect Baji and Mikey at the same time. Hamada takes a step towards Baji, but doesn't get far, as you make a split second decision to swing at him. You punch Hamada square in his face as you say, "I won't let you touch him." Hamada smirks, as he says, "Fine by me. Boss man never liked you anyways." Hamada goes to punch your left side. You prepare to block it, but at the last second, he grabs your arm and throws you down the car pile. "(Y/N)!" Baji shouts as he tries to reach out and grab you, but falls short. You scream as you fly to the bottom of the pile landing hard on your back as your head smacks against the car below you, causing the wind to get knocked out of you. Baji is immediately grabbed by Hamada, who chokes him. Your vision blurs as your head spins, and you struggle to breathe. Your body is working against you as you try to focus but can't. "LET ME GO!" You hear Baji yell, but he sounds extremely far away. You turn towards the sound of his voice, but it felt like everything was happening in slow motion. You faintly see Baji raise his arm and swing the metal pipe at Hamada's head. He lets him go, as Baji jumps down the car pile, making his way to you.

You try to prop yourself up, but struggle as your head is still spinning. Your breathing is uneven and as you try to take air in you choke on it. Baji finally reaches you as he says, "(Y/n)! Are you okay?!" He carefully helps you sit upright, as he says, "Focus on me. C'mon Princess, try and focus on me." You do as you're told but begin to panic when you see a Valhalla member running up behind Baji, intending to attack you. Your heart begins to race, as your breath quickens, making you choke slightly. Baji senses your panic too late as he begins to say, "What's wrong?" Thankfully Chifuyu had been observing you and punched the Valhalla member away, protecting both of you. "Baji.." Chifuyu says, as he continues to protect you. "I'll protect you two. Help (Y/n)-san calm down." He hesitates for a second, before he says, "I knew you were still on our side.." These words cause Baji to come back to his senses. His hands ball into fists, as he pushes you away, causing you to collapse. "The hell am I doing?" You try to speak but your mouth was dried, and you couldn't really form words in that moment. In an attempt to stop him, you grab his ankle. "(Y/n).. Let go.. I don't want to hurt you.." You take in a deep breath, as you gasp, "Th-Then d-don't.. Baji." You cough, but fight through the pain, as you say, "Don't d-do th-this." You cough out, as Baji forcefully kicks you away, causing you to yelp in pain as blood begins to come out of your nose.

"Fuck off (Y/n)." Baji spats, as Chifuyu steps in front of him, arms wide open. You look up as you say, "Ch-Chifuyu?" You watch them, as Chifuyu says, "Now I know you didn't mean that Baji." He scowls as he balls his hands into fists and says, "Chifuyu, what the hell do you think you're doing?" Chifuyu takes a deep breath as he says, "Don't do this. I know you, I know why you're doing this, so please. Just stop. If you take Kisaki down, it'll be working against you. You won't be able to retu-" He's cut off as Baji punches him dead in the face, knocking him over. "Chifu-" You start to shout but are cut off as you begin to cough again. "You have a lot of nerve Chifuyu.. The only reason I kept you at my side was because you were a decent fighter. I could care less what you think of me." Chifuyu carefully picks himself up, as he yells, "I'm still the 1st divisions vice captain! Meaning it's my job to protect you." He stands as he faces Baji. "Besides, I know you care more about (Y/n)-san than you let on. Stop being so fucking stubborn and let us help you." Baji once again frowns as he says, "Just try and fucking stop me. I'll give you 10 seconds." Chifuyu breathing becomes uneven as he says this. You see the internal battle Chifuyu is facing as Baji begins to count down from 10. "Ten.... nine..." You slowly start to move forward, as you cough out. "Chifuyu... D-do s-something..." He remains motionless, as Baji continues, "...six... What's wrong hmm? I thought you were gonna stop me." You manage to get to your knees as you weakly say, "No..." He finishes his count, "...two... one..." As he begins to turn away from Chifuyu. In that moment, Takemichi runs up behind the two, screaming as he grabs Baji's waist.
