Daisy's Pov

" Leaving already ?" Alice asked when I walked  out of my office early. 

I smiled leaning on her desk which was messed up with papers," Yep."

" Lover boy is here again." she said as a matter of faculty with a teasing smile. 

Almost everyone in the company knows that certain someone always waits to pick me up, at first people used to give weird glances, gossips, etc. but after a month they accepted it. Mom and dad also got to know about it, I was initially worried about dad's reaction but he accepted it whole-heartedly much to my surprise. 

I raised an eyebrow at her standing up straight," You are getting quite bold, huh?"

We have become more like friends this last few months, she's smart and frank, just the way I like. She knows when to speak and when not to, knows her limits well.  And the most important thing is that she is professional,  doesn't slack at anything, and the best point is doesn't tries to get close to rich people- exact opposite of someone, that someone being Emma Smith-our own female lead.  

I even doubt that she is female lead anymore. Sigh...

" I was always bold, boss" she batted her eyelashes. 

I laughed rolling my eyes at her," And that's what I like about you, Alice." I walked towards the elevator waving at her behind my back, " Goodnight, Alice"

" Have a fun night, boss"  she winked just before the door of elevator closed. I shook my head laughing at her.

I walked out of the elevator when it reached ground floor, Ethan was going to pick me up.

" Daisy, wait" I heard somone call as soon as I walked out of the company lobby. It is night time, hence mostly everyone were leaving for home. 

I twirled, Emma was hastily walking towards me from the opposite side of road.   I observed her when she stood in front of me, her expression was twisted, I could find hostility towards me from her eyes. 

She looked at me as if I am disgusting, as though she was looking down on me. She was dressed in short skirt which reached her midthigh and a long cleavage shirt paired with Christian Loboutin's highheels and handbag.

Her condition have improved I guess.

" Yes?" I inquired.

She folded her arms across her chest showing her cleavage even more and sneered." What's your relation with Ethan?"

" Excuse me?" I narrowed my eyes at her. 

"  I asked you, what is your relation with Ethan?" she repeated taking a step forward towards me, even though she was wearing heels she still did not manage  to look intimidating enough. She looked like a rebelling teenage kid.

I clicked my tongue  and shook my head in disappointment, " I am sorry Miss.Smith, but I am not bend what a pity about your feelings towards me." I tucked a few strands of her hair behind her air, " Don't worry you will definitely find someone who might love you."

I bit the inside of my cheek to prevent myself from laughing out loud, she was fuming, she looked humiliated and angry.

 " You.... you..." she stuttered.

" You..you..what Miss.Smith?  Unless you are interested in me or either you are my guardian only then I am obligated to answer you." I smiled at her ," The last time I checked you weren't my guardian and the only other choice is that you are interested in me and that's why you are asking about my relation with opposite sex."

" Don't go overboard, do you think I would like you?" she scoffed glaring at me," I am only interested in Ethan, why are you sticking to him? He is mine, do you get that?"

I laughed shaking my head at her, " Miss. Smith, you can't be called stupid anymore. Because you...." I grinned even more with cold eyes," ....are a clear case of mental illness, please get your head checked."

" Shut up.... You're a shameless woman.  I am warning you to stay away from Ethan, he is mine." 

" What makes you think that I will listen to you?" I asked raising a eyebrow at her," And most importantly where do you get the courage to say that Ethan is yours?" I smiled dusting the invisible dust on my skirt," Being  conceited is dangerous Miss.Smith."

" You know that he is mine, he was meant to be mine. In the last life and as well as in this life." she took a step forward directly looking into my eyes," If not for your interference, everything might have been the same like it was before"

I froze on my next words, it was unprecedented, I did not expect her to say that.  It means all along Emma was behaving strange because she knew that Ethan was hers. 

Looking at my dazed self- she sneered," What? cat got your tongue. You are reborn too, right? That is why you did not fall into of my traps all along. But did you forget that no matter what you do, I am still much more ahead of you, before  and even now you can't surpass me, remember how I destroyed Williams by planting a mole into the new project, and your stupid self thought that it was Ethan who did it. "

I was beyond shocked, this inside story of everything was shocking.  I stared wide eyes at her , petrified at the new revelation.

 She smiled thriumphly and continued," King's did not even know anything about it, and when they came to know everything it was too late, Mr. Williams was already on his death bed. It was me who did not let the news reach Ethan's ears and even his parents and grandparents did not know about it until everything was destroyed. "

I kept silent waiting for her to continue speaking.

" Do you know why I did that?" She asked smirking at me, " Because I hated you, you had everything I always wanted, loving parents, money, status, loving friends and everything I yearned for. When I tried to make your friends against you they did not believe me one bit, you were loved by your friends, parents and even Ethan's parents loved you. Everytime I tried to get close to Ethan his parents and friends were there to stop me, that was when I decided to finish you. In fact Ethan did not love me at all, he was just being responsible towards me."

" Responsible?" I asked.

" Yes, responsible, he thought he took my virginity when he was drunk." she laughed.

" But I trapped him into believing it, it was easy for me to trap him being his assistant. When I told him I was pregnant he accepted the child thinking that it was his, and when I had a miscarriage he thought that you were the one responsible for it. I wanted you to rot in jail but he decided to send you to asylum saying you were his childhood friend, you were like a thorn in my life that is why I killed you." she laughed out loud," But who would have thought that after your death, Ethan would investigate it and everything I did was revealed,  he threw me into cell for my lifetime without a second thought."

I sucked a cold breathe in, this was too much information.  How can this be? Didn't the novel say that Ethan was the one to destroy Williams, how come it turned out to be like this? 

" Why are you telling me all this?" I asked resisting the urge the slap her.

" I want you to stay away from Ethan. Don't force me to do the same things again." she threatened.

" What made you think that I am reborn?"
