Chapter 7

The learners all rushed into the school as the last bell sounded. The hallway was soon becoming deserted and every girl quickly scattered from their groups like sheep.

" EEEEELLIIII! " Kiara jumped , hugging my form , which almost led our bodies tumbling to the ground.

" DAAAMN , WHY DO YOU SMELL SO GOO-"

Kiara stopped shouting. No , I didn't hit her this time. Yes , I wish I actually did.

Her eyes darted over to the form next to me , silent as me.

" Uhm , hey? " Jay awkwardly waved his hand at Kiara who was grinning playfully at me.

" Hiii! " Kiara greeted back with the same energy she always had.

" Look who decided to return to school today! My girl , Eli , over here really missed you!"

Yeah , I facepalmed. I should have actually faceslapped Kiara instead.

Jay darted his eyes from Kiara to mine , with an awkward smile hanging on his face.

" It's quite a pleasure to know that you missed me , Eli-"

" WOULD YOU ALL GET TO CLASS NOW?" Mr Lim shouted at the remaining students in the hall which seemed to be just us.

Man , if he was about to say Elixir , his cover would have blown up. Mr Lim is just an angel in disguise.

I sped walk towards my seat in English and sat but felt a familar presence following me. It was Jay , of course.

" Why are you following me?"

" I don't know where the hell Sebastian sits , feisty pants. "

My eyes widened in realisation then quickly pointed towards the seat that has been empty for days. Jay hesistantly walked towards the seat and finally everything was normal for once until-

" Oh , Sebastian! What a pleasure to have you today with us after such a long time! "

"...it was just two days , madam. "

My gaze quickly landed on Jay's annoyed form. I tried grabbing his attention in those few split seconds and he seemed to be ignoring me on purpose.

" Oh-oh! But you never miss school! It was strange! "
With that , Mrs Kentwood quickly turned to the board and began scribbling on the board.

God knows how many death glares I threw at that human during the entire period.

On the first few minutes , dude suddenly grew interest in Whitney who just sat infront of him. I just couldn't ignore Whitney's pitchy laughs that filled the back of the class.

Halfway into the period , he began questioning Mrs Kentwood. Dude legit asked Mrs Kentwood why she pronounces ' dance ' as ' duhnce ' like some French model. The class broke into small snickers but I definitely wasn't having it. It's before a matter of time this motherplucker over here blows up his cover.

Towards the end of the period , he fell into deep sleep , not even caring of the daggers being shot at him from the human infront of the class. I would say I felt relieved when the bell decided to ring after an eternity.

" Man , who pissed Sebastian off this morning?"

Kiara leaned on my table as I continued packing my bag.

" Maybe his brother. "

" Ohmyghod , did YOU CHEAT ON HIM?! "

The remaining students stared at us for a good 3 seconds then left the class.
