" Go and fetch that kid bro. "

" And that's what I'm not going to be doing after what Kieran just said. " Jay said staring at the ground.

" Okay but then that red haired kid would help us a lot," I said still fanning Kiara who just dropped to the ground. Luckily I caught her before she hit the ground hard.

" How about we wait for this friend of yours here to wake up and go fetch that girl?" Jay said furrowing his brows.

Kiara still looked knocked out in my arms so there was no way she would get that kid.

" What else is in this world? Human butterflies?" Jay scoffed.

" Well , I thought you guys were from around here," Kieran stared expressionless at me.

Oh no.

" Of course not. We ain't from around here," Jay said.

Then he followed Kieran's gaze.

" Or unless Elixir said something else. " Jay said crossing his arms.

Would this imbecile stop calling me Elixi-

" Jeez , were you so crazily inlove with him that YOU HAD TO LIE?" Jay said laughing.

" HEY! I DIDN'T TRUST HIM , OKAY? I THOUGHT I WAS GOING TO DIE! PLUS WE NEED HIM BECAUSE HE KNOWS THIS PLACE BETTER THAN WE DO!" I defended myself.

Kieran also joined Jay in laughing and man , was it dangerous.

" We pretty much have to get going," Kieran sighed.

" We have to take this route-" Kieran pointed his hands towards the forest- where there was no visible path.

" to the waterfall near ' The Great Rock', " He continued.

" And I hope you guys are able to appreciate nature as we wouldn't get to that place tonight. " Kieran added.

We all just stared at him.

" Don't tell me you guys are scared of sleeping outside. "

Jay and I avoided his gaze , suddenly admiring our shoes while Alaric began whistling a lullaby.

" I can't believe you guys. "

" Oh , it's not my fault that my mom wouldn't allow me to go camping , okay?" Alaric defended himself.

Jay and I gave him a what-the-heck look because this dude really looks like he won't even listen to his mom when she tells him to avoid strip clubs at all costs. How old is he even?

" Then I suggest we move now so we could perhaps get a place to sleep in tonight. "

The boys hesitantly followed Kieran while I just stayed seated.

" Boys , I need help. " I spoke with a frown.

" So there are really giants and dragons here?"

Kieran nodded.

" Are they in this part of the forest? "

Kieran shaked his head.

" Then what is in this forest?" Alaric asked.

" Nothing is here. " Kieran said avoiding Alaric's stare.

" Then...what is that funny thing  staring at us?"

Everyone looked towards the new voice that joined the conversation.

" Oh , so you only decided to wake up now that you're on a vampire's back?" Jay scoffed shaking his head.

Yeah , the only way Kiara could be safe from falling after multiple times of being dropped by Jay and Alaric , is by piggy riding on Kieran's back.
