Chapter 10

" You gotta be kidding me. " Jay scoffed , leaning back on the couch.

" Look , this smart young lady over here gave you a lead. " The lady said , getting up from the couch.

" I'm sure you will manage," She turned around.

" Since everything you need is basically what you have just found. "

With that , she flashed another smile at us then disappeared into the dark hallway which I wish not to go through.

The room was full of silence with Kiara's frozen form and Jay's eyes fixed on the carpet. The unnamed boy also seemed as shocked as us.

" 'Since everything you need is basically what you have just found'." Jay repeated with a blank expression.

" Tell me. What...the heck was that?" Jay spoke up looking at the boy.

" She legit just indirectly told us that the fairy dude is real. And he is also missing. " Kiara answered , finally looking at Jay.

Then another moment of silence.

" Is she a witch?"

" Oh , don't you say that about my grandmom!" The boy finally spoke up shooting daggers through his eyes at Jay.

" Oh , chill! She legit knew that Sebastian was missing from the start , what else could she be? A sea turtle?!" Jay attacked him back.

" She's...not a witch. " The boy's sudden sad gaze left Jay's form , darting over to the grey carpet.

Jay's words could have had hurt him. Why is he so glum all of a sudden? I mean , sure Jay's words can be somehow but he knows his granny isn't normal.

" Then what is she?" I asked with a calm expression , hoping not to get another fight on the way.

" I think you guys have to get going since you have to start looking for your friend. " He stood up motioning for us to follow him towards the door. We followed after him without hesitation , finally reaching the door. Jay exited door , followed by Kiara but I decided to stop.

" Wait , you didn't tell us your name. What's your name?"

The boy's sad gaze met mine , his lips tilting slightly.

" Nicolas. "

" Man , what a lame name for a pretty fac-" I pinched Kiara's arms slightly , with a death glare perfectly featured on my face.

" What? Nicolas is such an old name for him! " Kiara defended herself.

But at the corner of my eye , I could see Jay's hopeless form walking besides me. 

" Hey , you okay?"

" Bro , we legit went to a crazy woman and she made things worse for us. Do I even look okay?"

Jay spat out with his eyes being a little teary.

" ...I...don't think I'm even going to find him at this rate. "

With that , he started walking faster leaving us a little behind.

" Man , he's right. " Kiara butted in.

I know we definitely didn't know where to go and look for now but what the lady said...could be true. I mean , a lovebite doesn't randomly show up on your neck , right? Plus , the pink hair dude could also be known by Sebastian if he was able to put together a beautiful masterpiece. Guys don't randomly enter Kiara's room without going through her parents first. It's strange. My mind then darted over to the note that was found on Sebastian's table. Could it help us in a way or even confuse us even more? How the heck do the people of the town not know or talk about the missing people? It's weird enough to say even the cops think all of this is  a game.
