Chapter 11

" JAY , LEAVE HIM ALONE! HE'S DRIVING!"

" YOU SAID YOU DO NOT REMEMBER WHEN YOU LAST DRANK EARLIER TODAY?! AND YOU'RE DRIVING?! WITH PEOPLE ON BOARD?! "

" WHY DOES IT EVEN MATTER?"

" ' WHY DOES IT EVE-' BRO , WHAT THE ACTUAL HECK?! ARE YOU CRAZY?"

" JAAAAY! LEAVE HIM ALONE! WE ARE ALL GONNA DIE IF YOU CONTINUE!"

" LISTEN TO YOUR DAMN SISTER-IN-LAW! OH MY WOR-"

" GUYS! WE ARE ABOUT TO HIT A  DAMN TREE!"

Alaric's head quickly turned towards the front and pressed roughly on the brake , which he should have done a few minutes ago before he saw Jay racing towards him. Since he did it in a rush , everybody in the back slumped backwards due to the force. Well , I wish I stepped away from Jay's body sooner.

Dude somehow landed on me.

His face somehow was a few inches away from my face.

He legit didn't realise what he actually fell on since he was still whining about falling hard on the ground. Correction : on me.

I'm just wondering how he awkwardly turned around before landing on me with his face close to mine. Hwo did he do that in a split second?

I just layed there for a few seconds waiting for him to get back to his seconds.

Then his eyes met mine. His eyes later then widened after realisation. His face then became as red as a tomato.

"...Jay and...Eli?" I could only hear Kiara's voice just above me.

Man , to avoid any kind of misunderstandings since Kiara was the first to see , I had to think fast.

" GET OFF MEEEE!!!" I pushed his chest and he went tumbling down next to me.

" Get off meeee. " Jay mimicked me with now a sudden annoyed expression on his face.

I quickly got up as fast as I can but it was all a huge mistake. I felt a stinging pain in my left knee.

Kiara seemed to realise the sudden change of emotion in my face then raced to hold me before I collapsed back on the ground.

" MY KNEE-"

" YEAH! YOU FELL SO DANGEROUSLY ON THE FLOOR! A BOTTLE WAS UNDER YOUR LEG!"

" OKAY. THANK YOU. THAT INFORMATION REALLY HELPED ME A LOT. I FEEL SO MUCH BETTER. YAY. "
I looked at Kiara angrily while she softly chuckled.

She helped me back on the floor with my back leaning against one of the bags.

I even seemed to forget Jay's presence in the van that moment.

" So who's going to drive now since the driver himself could still be drunk?" Kiara put her hands on hips crouching a little lower since the top of the van reached her head.

" Jay , I believe you have to drive since you are the one who caused a minor injury over here. " Alaric said rubbing his neck where Jay was roughly holding him.

Jay sat silently avoiding our stares.

" Oh , don't tell me you don't know how to drive. " Alaric scoffed after blinking his eyes numerous times.

" Is that a problem? "

" Oh motherf-"

" PLEASE NO SWEARING! MY EARS WOULD CRACK IF I HEAR A VERY SILLY WORD!" Kiara jumped in the conversation with her hands up.

It's funny how she wants to avoid all that as if she doesn't do minor swearing.

" I guess we have no choice but to let Alaric drive. Besides , he was driving perfectly fine until he reached us right? "
