Y/n'S POV

The next day was a lot better. I done some work and then sat around with the twins and Teresa. "Ya think she's still out there? Like trying to find her way back?" Teresa asked.
"Well if she is she'll never find it before the grievers get her. And plus, no one has survived a night in the maze so I highly doubt she's out there." I shrugged. "Jasper no don't do that!"
I yelled as Jasper pulled at a thorn bush. I picked him up and sat him in my lap but he didn't plan on staying still very long. "HAZEL!" I yelled seeing Hazel stumble towards the kitchen. Fry ran out and scooped her up. "Hello pretty little lady, what are you doing so far away from mom huh?" He chuckled bringing her back to me. He sat with us for a couple minutes before leaving and going back to the cooking. "I dunno how he sticks the heat in that kitchen all day. No thanks." T decided. "I suppose he's used to it yano? He was here before me so he's been here quite a while."
I pointed out. "Oh look at the bunny!" Teresa squealed seeing a bunny caged up. We snuck over and took her out. "Y/n. Put the bunny back." Winston said slowly. "Awh but look at her! She's just a baby!" I cooed. "Listen y/n put her back. Okay? She's ok." Winston said. "No she isn't! You're gonna cut her up and give her to Fry to cook! She's only a baby!" I scolded him. Newt wandered over. "C'mon love put her back." He told me. "But she's only a baby! She has her whole life ahead of her Newt she's tiny." I told him nearly crying. "C'mon baby look her leg is broken." He told me. "No it isn't! You're just tryna make me put her back." I cried. "Well you can't keep her!" Winston told me. "Yes I can!" I told him. "No. You cannot." Alby said from behind me. "She's only a baby Alby!" I defended the petrified bunny I've named binky. "Y/n put her back." He told me. "Alby please binky has her entire life ahead of her!" I protested. "Bink- you named it?" He asked. "HER and yes I did." I told him. They managed to pull her away from me and I cried. "C'mon baby you knew you couldn't keep her!"
Newt cooed. "She's so small and she's just gonna be killed!" I sobbed. "Shhh shhh it's okay." He cooed. "No it isn't! She's only just alive!" I protested. Teresa was in the stitches laughing. "I'm going to bed." I decided wiping my eyes and picking the twins up. I put them down for their nap and lay in bed. Newt came in. "I know you hate it love but this has to happen." He told me softly. "No it didn't. Now she's gone." I replied. She was grey and white and adorable. And now she's gone. Only a tiny little bunny. "Y/n, these things have to happen. The goats and cows they all have to be killed for us to live." He explained. "They weren't babies." I protested sitting up. "I'm not having anything to eat because now I know it's binky. Not a Hope." I told him flopping back down. "C'mon baby please?" He asked. "No." I replied sternly. "I'll be back soon I have to finish up in the gardens." He sighed. Winston came in. "I'm sorry Y/n I really am." He told me. "I don't care." I replied my head buried under my pillow. "Y/n she was in pain." He told me. "No she wasn't I'm not stupid if she was in pain she would've squealed when I picked her up she was just scared." I told him. "Just go away." I whispered. He left and I just sat there mourning a bunny I didn't even know. I got up after a while to go pee and Gally came up to me. "Heard what happened squirt." He told me as he hugged me. "Next bunny that comes up I'll save for you ok?" He whispered. "Ok." I replied. He let go and I went back to the hut to wait for the twins to wake up. Ghost and Copper cuddled up to me as I waited. I hate it here.
