"You're not together?" Courtney asked
"No" I said
"Why did you just say it like that?" Ariana asked me
"What do you mean? We're not together" I said, slightly confused
"Yes but why do you sound so happy about it?" She asked
"She just asked a question" I looked at her confused
"But you didn't have to answer it" Ariana stated
"I honestly don't understand your issue with me here" I said and leaned my head back
"You and the fact that you don't even wanna be with me" Ariana answered
"Are you serious? I bought gifts for you in every country I've been to" I said and looked at her
"That's the bare minimum" She said
"Whatever you say but we're not together" I shrugged
Ariana just looked at me in an annoyed way
"Yet I guess" I added
"I mean why don't you just say we're getting there but instead you act like it would be a horrible thing if we were" Ariana said
"You would say no as well" I argued
"I would but it means that when I say it, it means something totally different than when you say it" She said
"How so?" I asked, getting slightly angry at her
"Because if it weren't for you we would be together already" She said
"Oh fuck this Ariana. Why don't you understand that it's not fucking easy for me?" I groaned
"You also said it hella fast, like it's a natural instinct right Courtney?" She turned to Courtney and asked her
"I mean it was fast yeah" Court nodded her head
"Courtney wouldn't disagree with you in a million years" I said
"Huh what the fuck? If I disagreed with her than I would. Just because she's rich and successful doesn't mean I don't have an opinion of my own" Courtney stated
"Alright" I shrugged
"No, I never said that" I said
"Oh she's such a fucking coward" Ariana said
"What the fuck is your problem?" Court asked me confused
"I don't wanna argue about this." I said and got up
"Of course. Just walk away because you know you're wrong." Ariana said.
"Whatever you say." I said and walked out to the balcony.
I smoked some cigarettes and stayed outside. After like half an hour the door opened and it was Ariana.
"Don't you wanna come inside and apologize?" She asked me.
"Apologize for what? For saying we're not together?" I asked.
"Y/n really this again?" She asked.
"What Ariana? I don't understand what I did wrong. Okay I'm sorry for making it so hard for you but I just needed my time but I finally made up my mind. And I'm sorry for saying no so fast. It wasn't my intention." I said.
"It's okay." Ariana said and kissed me.
"Now come back inside." She said.
I got up and we walked insid the hotel room again.
